I want to go to Egypt and visit the holy places. Can you please tell me how long it takes to get from Sharm airport to Taba, and from Taba to Israel?

From Sharma Airport to Taba about 2 hours to get, but there are drivers who travel much faster, but tourists then get out of the vehicle with wide eyes))))
And from Taba to Israel in general at hand, 15-20 minutes and you're at the border))))

If you want to visit the Holy places, you definitely need to go to Taba, either to the Hilton, or to Movenpick. Believe me, this excursion is very difficult, I was sincerely sorry for the tourists who still had to go to Sharm from Taba, and we had already arrived at our Movenpick , which is 3 minutes walk from the border. You will not reach Sharm in 2 hours. 3-4 hours. In addition, you probably want to visit Eilat shops on your own, you can do this from Taba, but it’s far from Sharm.

I want to clarify, you need to fly directly to the airport in Taba.

the first driver took us from Sharm to Taba in 2 hours. We flew around the bus like balls on a billiard table (Tez Tour company). The second one drove normally, spending 2 hours and 40 minutes on it (also Tez Tour). Pay attention to the subjective factor, which does not depend on the tour operator. Often because of this factor, tourists are afraid to buy excursions on the street. That's right, just in case.

Taba has its own airport. so it makes no sense to fly through Sharm, especially since the Movenpick in Taba is worthy of attention and is really located 0.5 km from the border with Israel. By the way, for your safety, this does not threaten anything! and my advice - in addition to Israel, visit Petra in Jordan. we were thrilled! have a good rest!!!

Tell me, please, how much does this excursion cost, and is it really so long to go from the border to the holy places?

I don’t remember how much the tour costs, they offered a 1-day and 2-day tour. we took 1 day. Rested in Taba at the Marriott Hotel. Departure late at night, the bus is packed. It took some time to cross the Israeli border, then another bus and a long way first to the Dead Sea (stopping at the Dead Sea sometime after dawn) and even longer way to Jerusalem. There is nothing special to see along the way - the desert and rocks. The landscape does not change. But in Jerusalem itself it is cool and informative. Everything is really fast. For a long time only in bribed shops. And then the same long way back to the hotel.

It’s really 5 hours from the border to Jerusalem. We didn’t buy excursions from a tour operator. If you need information, write, for Jerusalem-Jordan (Petra) we paid 300 dollars per person, and for Pegasus-400. The organization of excursions was excellent, no complaints, take at least the fact that we were immediately taken to Jerusalem, we went through all the places without queues, went to Bethlehem, (and Pegasus doesn’t have this, instead they drive along Gethsemane) and only then, to the Dead Sea, it’s about 3 o’clock in the afternoon, it turns out to swim in the sea not cold. A one-day trip to Israel is 100 dollars, and Pegasus has 180 Jerusalem and 220 Petra.

for a long time it only lasts at the border, it really annoys, otherwise everything is informative and interesting and time will not be wasted - that's a fact! and when you walk the path of Christ before his crucifixion....for sure, you understand that you didn’t go in vain! we have a lot of emotions after the tour, it is also very important to be lucky with the guide!!!

We crossed the border, stopping only to stamp our passports. The whole transition took about 10 minutes. Then, we slept all the way from Eilat to Jerusalem. We woke up in Jerusalem. After all the excursions, we drove for 2 hours to the Dead Sea, but they flew by quickly because we had the best guide, just a walking encyclopedia. But the remaining 2 hours from the Dead Sea to Eilat, when the guide left us, were hard. Then we quickly crossed the Jordanian border again, ended up in Aqaba, we were taken to the hotel, it took about 10 minutes. But we were terribly tired, our strength left us, we went to bed, which I now regret terribly, we should have gone for a walk around Aqaba. A wonderful town, many shops. Cosmetics from the Dead Sea can be bought there in pharmacies much cheaper than in stores on the Dead Sea. And in general, this is not Egypt, you can buy a lot of things there, for example, blankets made of camel wool. But, something carried me, I'm completely off topic.
