Only the sea. 2 options under consideration: Jaz Fanara 4*/Club EI faraana and Coral Montazan (next to Baron). By sea - flora, fauna. Difference? Snorkeling without diving (for a swim up to an hour)

Jaz Fanara 4* - I think that there are still more variations for snorkeling. Very close to the hotel beach (on the cape, on the left) is the famous "El Fanar Beach". You can also swim there. This is still a bay, the beach is located in a calm zone, closed by a lighthouse rock. Yes, and the hotel itself (the first line), and the situation as a whole (the bay) is a little better than at Cape Ras Nasrani.
There is no pontoon, entry from the shore.

I have a diametrically opposite opinion. The situation in RUS is a clean collective farm, the beaches are swarming, the sea is constantly turbid, the reefs are, if not dead, then tired. And it is better to walk along the transition than climbers work. Although the level of Phanara is much higher than Montaza, but the snork is for dummies there. But Montaza, Baron, Sensatori reefs best of zy best. Add Cyrin and Melton Beach. Choose any of these hotels, snorkel like an adult (BUT! go there until November)

Well, yes ... whoever likes what. In general, I would choose a beach with a short pier (not with a pontoon) and so that the depth is immediately ... so that there are no noticeable low tides, so that there is more space for swimming.
This fuss around reefs (dead, alive ...) and fish amuses me.

))) and sometimes I’m nivdobna) in front of the Red Sea maniacs. I ate for decades, but maybe not mine. The people are looking for new bushes, and I get high from the Red Sea even without them. Only the dolphins caused hysterical admiration, almost choked. I would still swim with the dugong (if he was waiting for me)) To whom give a sharp depth, to whom there is sand under their feet, and the mass of Europeans do not even feel the sea with their little finger. We must respect other people's addictions (if they do not harm our health))

Club EI faraana categorically do not advise, a dead hotel. JazzFanara has become infinitely expensive. The bay is trampled, to swim to the lighthouse or on the other side - it will take at least half an hour to the Government Quarter and the same amount back. Less than two hours of normal snork will not work. There is no toilet on the tiny DF beach, but everyone claims to run upstairs (like the 6th floor) to pee. It remains to believe in the word, even though the water is cloudy.
At Ras Nasrani Montaza, still a good reef. You can snorkel at least 10 minutes at least 4 hours. Coral Beach Montaza is a good hotel, the rooms are good, the food is monotonous, but tasty. SirenGrand - a crowd like in a market, Melton - zhlobsky with old numbers. Sensatori - passed in recent years. Baron - Super, but expensive.

Melton - the best corals (from above, if not diving) / on the site of Ras um El sid (Jazz), moray eels, stingrays, turtles often swim ... I even saw a shark there - but this is at a depth of 20-30 meters ...

I am convinced that we are increasingly giving advice according to the saying "Every sandpiper praises his own swamp." Whoever had a better rest, then recommends. Therefore, the TS question - "What time are you going?" I like the Ras um Sid bay in winter, it is calm there, in Ras Nasrani there are still winds in the winter. Yachts are constantly brought to the reefs of Ras-um-Sid from other places in Sharm to dive, probably because of something worthwhile.

I especially like the myths about the winds in the winter in Egi that where they blow, and where they don’t) ... and even in Ras Nasrani)) . Winds in winter if there is = that is everywhere / a little more - a little less. In winter in Egi, normal people swim in wetsuits, and they take hooded kangaroos with them to the beach in windy weather ...

"Yachts from other places in Sharm are constantly being brought to the reefs of Ras um Sid to dive, probably because of something worthwhile."
Divers are brought to every dive site in Sharm, why is RUS bay worse? A picture of the RUS dive site is attached.
"Snorkeling without diving (for a swim up to an hour)"
In RUS, you won’t be able to see anything in an hour, only stingrays on the sand near the beach.
"I am convinced that we are more and more giving advice on the saying "Every sandpiper praises his swamp." Whoever had a better rest recommends it."
For me, the whole Charm is already one "swamp" in a good way. My wife and I have been living not in hotels for some time, but in apartments. But I more or less know the situation in Sharm hotels.

For snorkeling, the Ras Nasrani area will be better than Fonara (Ras um Sid), this is until November, it is windy there in winter

We rested at the end of August in Marsa Alam, at The Three Corners Equinox Beach Resort, every day we swam with the dugong. But the hotel is not for everybody.

I have been to both hotels. We were in Montaza in June of this year. I liked the reef much more than in Phanar, where almost everything is already dead and there are very few fish. In Montaza, the most beautiful section of the reef is near the Baron and Sensatori hotels. I swam there all the time. The disadvantage of this hotel is that it is located next to Nabq and the wind blows almost all the time. When the heat is nice, but in the cool time it will be very uncomfortable. Yes, the pantone is longish, but for us it was not a problem. The main thing is not to storm and close the sea. In a word, in terms of the quality of the reef, I would definitely choose Montaz.

The reef near the Baron and Sensatoria is very good and if you are in Montaza, then of course you need to swim to the Baron, but sometimes the security of the Baron hotel does not let people out of Motaza, I witnessed this in the summer of 2016
