Hotel Albatros Aqua Blue. Question about the beach - do they have life jackets for adults?
I would like to admire the living creatures on the reef longer, but with the ability to stay on the water, not very much.

There is no life on the reef. Like the reef itself. As, apparently, and vests. The entrance from the beach to the sea is waist-deep. Reef on a wild beach 300 meters to the left. Bring your own vests.

With a vest, you still won’t sit in the water for a long time. Better buy a neoprene suit like a scuba diver, it is warmer and will give you a little support. If, of course, you don’t know how to swim at all, then also a vest.
аватар zolyshka111
Why do you need that vest at all, it holds water perfectly.
аватар Shev37
You don't need a vest in the Red Sea. Mask, snorkel and fins - this is what you need. It is impossible to drown, lie down on the water and enjoy, if you need to move, work with fins, you don’t need to row with your hands. You can buy the thinnest snorkeling suit (you can use lycra) in order not to burn out from the sun in the water. The vest, I think, can be rented at the dive center Reef and fish is located to the left of the beach and it is one of the best in Sharm, Albatross is the right choice for winter

Thank you. And how much will it cost to buy a mask, snorkel and fins on the spot?
аватар startrans8
There are life jackets and a lifeguard on the pantone, the area for swimming is fenced and there are fixed circles, you can hold on to them and admire them, not the most beautiful place in charm, but there are enough living creatures
аватар startrans8
Fins are not needed, a mask with a snorkel in the hotel is $ 8, if you do not bargain
аватар Shev37
Comfortable with fins. You can swim further and feel more confident. There are several diving shops in the old town. Do not buy a mask without trying it on and preferably a mask with black silicone rubber, it sticks to the muzzle better and lasts longer. If for the first time in Sharm, rent a hotel at the hotel for a test and then you will understand whether you need your own or not
аватар Shev37
Do not go to the hotel pontoon, there is nothing to do there. Start right off the coast. It is better to go outside the hotel beach to the left and dive there

Great answers ;)
you can’t drown in the sea, well, yes, why learn to swim at all))
fins and a vest are needed or not .... opinions are divided ...
albachino, is this your first time in Egypt or do you already have experience of long swimming in a life jacket, is there no fear of depth?
аватар albachino
First, there is no long-term experience, I am not afraid of depth

imho it is not convenient to snorkel in a vest, as it is intended for rescue, i.e. so that your head is above the surface of the water. It will also slow you down and hamper your movement and you will be more tired. If you do not move, you will not get tired, but then you will freeze quickly. The minimum set for snorkeling is a mask, snorkel and fins. The suit is highly recommended. And another cool thing is a full-face snorkel mask (but not a Chinese fake). It has a special valve that blocks water from flowing into the tube and you can breathe through your nose in it. But diving is not comfortable.

You don't need a life jacket. You can’t dive in it, but in some cases you want to do it there. The mask for the whole face is bulky and costs about 30 bucks, in my opinion it was made for the disabled

Bullshit. The sea will not keep anyone on the water if you do not know how to swim, Niryati at great depths - most women certainly can not. Therefore, I advise the sand and the sea on Naama Bay.
аватар zolyshka111
Shev37, I bought a mask for the whole face, as you say, in France in an online store, the original Tribord for 25 euros, it costs 40 euros here, but this is not a mask for the disabled, but a super mask. Have you ever swam with her? Most likely not, since you write such nonsense.
аватар Shev37
zolyshka111, try to dive at least three meters in it, swim a little under water, then we'll talk
аватар Shev37
zolyshka111 You can swim in it, I don’t argue, but it’s not convenient, it’s bulky
аватар Shev37
For 25 euros you can buy a very good classic mask that will definitely not leak.
аватар Centro777
Shev37, a full face mask designed for snorkeling, disabled people can also swim in it. Based on your answer, you most likely do not know what snorkeling is. The author of the topic is going to do exactly snorkeling and this mask will suit him (her?) very well, although it is not cheap.
аватар Shev37
A traditional mask is also suitable for the author, in addition, the author may want to dive into the depths of the Red Sea ... Yes, of course, I don’t know what snorkeling is. Just a plastic "window" is not very durable And snorkeling is not only swimming with a snorkel on the surface of the water...
аватар Centro777
Of course, a traditional mask will do, it will suit everyone and the disabled too, but I'm afraid the author of the topic will not want to plunge into the abyss of his own free will, since he (she?) was going to swim with a life jacket, and it's almost impossible to do it with him.
