I ask everyone who was in Sharm and Hurghada to answer where you liked it best and why. The theme of the sea can not be discussed, because. it is clear that in Sharm these are corals, and in Hurghada there is sand and everyone goes after their own. For other opinions I will be very grateful.

Pay attention to excursions from Sharm available Jerusalem, Petra, Mount Moses and the monastery. Katerina, Abu Galum from Hurghada is all expensive or not real.
In Hurghada Nile Cruise, Dendra, St. Anthony and Paul, Luxor, which is expensive and unrealistic from Sharma. Cairo and Alexandria are equally accessible from Sharm and Hurghada. Here's another criterion besides the sea. By the way diving in Hurghada is cheaper.
Who wants to see old Egypt should fly to Hurghada and take the Nile Cruise, Luxor.
Charm, it seems to me, is more for lovers of modern resorts and nightlife, especially Naama Bay.

If the topic of the sea is not discussed, and the previous answer has already been written about excursions, then I can add that in Sharm 3 * - with such a service in Hurghada it will be considered 4 * (I mean food, service). We liked Sharm El Sheikh absolutely everyone more from Hurghada and from Taba. The market in Sharm is also cheaper. The difference is still in Sharm 3 * - far from the sea (3-4 km), 4 * - a little closer, 5 * all on the first line. Yes, and Sharm itself is very lively at night, young people are not bored.
аватар Amir1
nadin65 and if not young people, but older people, families with children, because they are the majority. Write down the points that are better for them in Sharm than in Hurghada. Thank you.
аватар Amir1
let me tell you why I need it. I was in Sharm after Hurghada. I was driving with such an attitude that in Sharm it is much better. When I arrived, I was just horrified. It is wild, empty, there is no transport, it is impossible to go into the sea for those who cannot swim, there are sooo few places of entertainment, compared to Hurghada, I generally keep quiet about shopping (about choice). Hotels are all without territory and greenery, stairs, it is difficult for older people to walk and with children in general a nightmare. There is nowhere to walk in the evening, there is only one desert around, and it is far to go to Naama and only by taxi. And that's just the beginning of everything I didn't like.
In short, I can’t sell tours to Sharm after that. Jammed. Unleash me please. I really need. Prove that Sharm is the best!!!!
аватар nadin65
Oh-oh-oh, after looking at your blog, I was even ashamed of the answer. Where have you not been? And I am a man without any special claims, modest, and everything suits me, if only the sea is nearby ... and to be cheaper.
аватар Zlata28
to be honest, I generally go to Egypt exclusively because of the sea
(more specifically because of the underwater world)
therefore, for me personally, Sharm and Marsa are priorities
But since you asked to list the advantages without the sea
I'm just stumped...
аватар Amir1
nadin65 and I need to sell tours. And I can’t tell a tourist that Sharm is better until I believe it myself. So I ask you to convince me. Everything always suits me, too, but the problem is not with me, but with my tourists, and they are very different and I must give accurate information. Everyone says that Sharm is better, so it is. Explain why. So there was something I didn't see and didn't understand. That's why I asked the question.
аватар nadin65
My husband and I rested in Sharm in April, the hotel is right in the city, in the old city area. The sandy beach was free and coral paid, so here's your choice. In the evening it was possible to walk the streets, go to shops, supermarkets, there is even a Metro supermarket. Not far away is the entertainment complex Alf Leila va Leila, the Old Market, El Mercato, every evening a free bus to Naama Bay, and at that time more older people (50-70 year olds), especially from Russia, had a rest. We talked to everyone, I showed them the way to the wild coral beach. Everyone had a good rest together, not boring, not tiring, and the age difference did not prevent us from communicating.
аватар Amir1
Zlata28 means about the rest I'm right?
аватар Amir1
nadin65 it's all true, but I asked you not to talk about the good, to compare: it's better than in Hurghada, but it's worse. All of the above can be done in Hurghada, except for corals, of course. And I need to know why Sharm is better than Hurghada, except for corals. Thank you.
аватар Zlata28
oops, Amir1 (minus is not mine, I didn't put it)
for what else?
do you mean entertainment?
well, somehow .. we travel with a company, we are not looking for special entertainment outside the territory
and in terms of beauty outside the hotel
then in such cases I would generally choose Kemer or Marmaris in Turkey
something like this...
Sorry if I'm completely off topic :)
аватар Amir1
Zlata28 So I have the right opinion that if a person does not want or, for various reasons, cannot watch corals, then Hurghada will be better for him than Sharma? Or is it still not? And if not, why not?
аватар Amir1
By the way, Turkey in November-March is not relevant.
аватар IzUmka
In Sharm. If you do not take into account the sea, then it's just more pleasant to be there and that's it.
аватар wale13
My wife was in Sharm once, and then we went to Hurghada together. So there is something to compare. In Sharm, my wife found the city much more interesting and cheaper. The city is more pleasant for walking. Hotels in Sharmy are all with a small area and mostly pebble beaches. In Hurghada, almost all hotels have a huge territory and sandy beaches. So I would advise people to go to Sharm who go in search of corals and city entertainment (and do not forget about the mountain of Moses !!! many people really like this excursion from Sharm!), but I would advise everyone to go to Hurghada who just relax on a good beach (very important for traveling with children).
аватар Zlata28
Amir1 I don't know how to explain correctly
but as for me, Charm is somehow more civilized chtoli
IMHO
аватар Amir1
Zlata28 but it seemed to me far the opposite, for some reason. Even there is no transport, everything is dead for some reason.
аватар Zlata28
Amir1
Well, as they say "the taste and color ..." (c)
аватар Amir1
Zlata28 for sure

Well, here you have carried the ipopee, he is Egypt and Egypt in Africa. The sun fries all around, the sea is salty all around and the fish swim and, most importantly, wet. Everything else is purely subjective. It all depends on the time, place and circumstances. Therefore, opinions will be diametrically opposed.
аватар Amir1
konyks disagrees. If everyone says that Charm is better, then it is. But why? This is what I want to know. So far, apart from the sea, I have not seen any pluses.
аватар tgrigoreva42
in my opinion, Sharm is still more civilized, the Arab sellers are not so brazenly pestering, the main street of Naama Bay is generally a solid holiday. We walk there every day and there is always something new to see. In Hurghada, apart from shopping arcades and nightclubs, there was nowhere to go, and this is extreme.
аватар Amir1
tgrigoreva42 disagrees. But what about the 2-kilometer promenade with Fountains in Hurghada? Sellers and in Hurghada lately do not stick. but more brazen harassment of women than in Sharm, I have not seen. It’s necessary to think of asking a guy for his girlfriend for the evening and pestering almost the entire team with this question every day. Civilization in Sharm did not notice. There is no city there, and Hurghada is a very large modern city with all the infrastructure. Maybe it’s just that someone didn’t go further than Down Town and didn’t see how beautiful this city is now. In Sharm, this is almost non-existent.
аватар Amir1
and in general I saw Sharm the way I saw Hurghada 7 years ago: unfinished, deserted and not developed. Maybe in Sharm in 7 years it will be so cool. In general, you did not convince me. Although there is still a chance. Looking forward to comparisons.
аватар konyks
So you don’t listen to me, but write the opposite yourself, as opposed to tgrigoreva42, as I said, I was in Sharm and Taba and Hurghada and Makadi time and time again, it’s better there, it seemed better there.

For me, this is a completely different holiday in terms of emotions and impressions. Hurghada is slowly relaxed, I feel like a butterfly sleeping on a flower under the sun. Charm makes me more vivid emotions and impressions. It's like comparing the sensations of the Hurghada Sea (dived-surfaced - "class, here I am in the Red Sea!) and Sharmovsky (dived-surfaced -OOOO! Superr! Here I am in the Red Sea!). And the whole rest in Hurghada and Sharm.Sharm is stormy emotions, Hurghada is tranquility, how to compare an evening in Naama and a walk along the street with fountains in Hurghada. And therefore, I like holidays in Sharm more! until the next vacation in the gloomy autumn-winter season! And this is very important! Although everywhere has its charms. The only thing I miss in Sharm is a Hurghada excursion to Paradise Island!
аватар lerana07
I won’t repeat about emotions and excursions. Everything has been said above, for me personally Sharm is a winter holiday, and Hurghada is cool in a hot summer. Those who have been there and there will understand what I mean. as there is no wind (the mountains do not allow it to roam). It is good in Hurghada in summer, the constant (year-round) breeze in this area of Yegi helps a lot to get rid of the Egyptian summer heat.

for starters: In EGYPT we choose hotels with a beautiful green well-groomed territory, a good developed infrastructure (FREE swimming pools (water parks) - restaurants - cafes - bars - sports), bright, spacious, unbroken rooms, delicious varied food ALL INCLUSIVE necessarily with free drinks in unlimited quantities, cheerful unobtrusive animation, b / n disco and evening professional shows.
SHARM EL SHEIKH
- a magnificent salty sea-aquarium with an amazing underwater world and entry into the sea immediately to the depth from the pontoons, by all means FOR THOSE WHO CAN AND LOVE TO SWIM in water of any temperature!
LANDSCAPE of hotel territories in SHARM EL SHEIKH, as a rule, TERRASS (ie if on the sea, then down the mountain. If from the sea, then up the hill) Tourists should definitely talk about it!
If tourists with small children (especially with a stroller) relax in Sharm, the hilly landscape and the entrance to the sea immediately to the depth may not suit them ...
But, since the sea in Sharm is sheltered from the winds in quiet beach bays, it is less windy on the beaches of Sharm in winter.
Be sure to exclude hotels with ebbs and flows on the sea and cold undercurrents - this "poisons" the rest
аватар LANGIS
HURGHADA:
- a magnificent salty sea without an "aquarium" with fish right off the coast, with a beautiful entry into the sea and, as a rule, a sandy beach. This is very important for families with small children and for non-swimmers.
In HURGHADA, the landscape of the hotel territories is PLAIN, so families with children and babies in strollers are comfortable there.
You don’t need to go down to the sea, everything is nearby: room-restaurant-pool-bar-sea and back without much effort. But definitely with a SUCCESSFUL CHOICE OF HOTEL!
True, in WINTER there is a danger of winds and sandstorms in HURGHADA.
WISH YOU A HAPPY HOLIDAY!

I’ll say right away I haven’t been to Hurghada, but I’ll tell you about charm ... It has its own unique energy, how is it nowhere to walk there ??? And terozina ??? And Soho ??? with lighting and music or in leyla valeila, take a walk in la strada, soho, il mercato, ol market, many more places and of course naama bay. -Disco hits Little Buddha, Pasha, Hard Rock, Panjera, Dolce Vita, Black House, Corner and these are just the biggest ones... What is worth just sitting in Sadiki... there is entertainment and relaxation for every taste... it’s just who eats for what ... I’ve been there 5 times and every time I find something new for myself. And every time I’m drawn there again
