Island is a normal hotel, the beach below is protected, there is a 4th pool above the beach, you can sunbathe there, it is out of the blue. Hotels in the bay, if the wind is from the sea, and it often happens, then it will be a little fresh, you can swim in the sea. In this bay, budget hotels Hilton and Siwa are no worse than Island.

We rested in Island view in Oct. 2017. Everything that is written in the first 2 comments is true. The disadvantage is that there is no entrance to the sea from the shore, only from the pontoon. Those. nothing to do with children in this hotel. A big plus - a quiet pool near the descent to the beach. But it's not too big. The beach of the hotel is very well protected from the wind, well, if you do not lie in the front row.
I agree with the previous comment that Siva Sharm is no worse (we rested there in October 2016), but there is the possibility of entering (swimming) into the sea from the beach without using a pontoon, and the coral is more interesting and there are much more fish. And not so Island view and cheap.
