We also considered the Hilton, but settled on the Sierra hotel, located in the same bay, in the same price category. On the plus side, behind the SOHO wall, you can dine for free at some restaurants located there.

Yes, thanks for the advice, gembb, we also considered Siera, but there is no water slide for the child (and she really needs it ... We previously rested in the Grand Oasis and went for a walk in Soho almost every evening and we know where the Hilton is - passed , so the choice fell on him.

In Hilton (2015), on the first line, there are no children's water slides, there is something from a series of playgrounds. The hotel is compact, narrow, 3-level small beach. The second line did not work that year (we were in Siwa (from 12/11 to 24/11 2016) and passing by the Hilton asked the vacationers). To be honest, on the first line in the restaurant there will hardly be festivities, there is a bar in the basement of the main building, maybe there. Grand Oasis (2015) seems to be dead. Island View Resort (2014) has slides, but not for children. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaHEv-2fYR8

Nice video, kkk1204, thanks. There is one big slide in the Hilton - it will suit us if it works)). The second line has not been working for several years, and this is even good. Siera on the second line. About Dreams Beach - they seem to write well, but how the holidays are held there - is unknown. I see you need to choose either Soho or slides ...
We met my family in Greece in September, they only go to the Grand Oasis, and they advise everyone, but once was enough for us - during the holidays there was a suicide - bad associations now.
And in Hurghada, there are more hotels to choose from - but I'm afraid it will be more windy.

It’s up to you to choose, maybe there are slides in the Hilton, but we rested without children, perhaps we didn’t see it. As for the closure of the second line, as for me, this is bad. On the first line, the Poll Bar and 4 tables are open until 22.00, there is no place, in the basement the bar is open until 24.00, there is a roar from the music, mother don’t cry, so they went outside. On the second line there were almost only foreigners and there is the best and a tavern and territory and more normal bars. In those years, because of foreigners, animation and entertainment were at the highest level, but on the second line, in the first place, it was not enough. Lots of locals.
Grand now does not work, although the hotel liked the territory and the star of social labor to the gardener.
Consider Siwa as an option, behind Nilton, Soho nearby - we liked it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a7FbLu77YY&t=3s

Yes, kkk1204, the gardeners at Grande are great, that is, that is. And we looked at Siwa last year, but everyone complains about the food, so we didn’t go. Do you happen to know anything about the former Lililand in Hurghada? As soon as my daughter saw the slides in the form of a castle, she only dreams of getting there, and we are worried about the windy weather in this region.

I don't like Hurghada. In Grande were in 2015 (December) in Siwa 2016 (November), I did not notice a difference in nutrition, everything is the same. In Grande buffet in a line, in Siwa around and in a line. They say there are slides somewhere in the Albatross ...

I was in Grande with my daughter - this is one food you need, but now my husband has matured with a child to rest - then this is something else you need)) In April we were in Mercury Hurghada - he really liked it, asked that it be no worse. And of course we will go to Albatross, but when she grows up a little, otherwise she only needs children ... In February, she was with her at Sunrise Diamond - she was delighted.

I read that the cost of the New Year's Gala Dinner at the Sierra Hotel will be 125 US dollars for each adult and 62.5 US dollars for each child, as far as I understand, payment is required, and the fact that the child may be sleeping at this time does not bother anyone either . So it is customary for the New Year in all hotels, otherwise we are going for the first time?

In Sharks - we were in this hotel since January 5, 2016, then the second line also worked (although tour operators almost did not sell it) and even some performances were held there. Just New Year's Eve and Christmas were on the 1st line in the main restaurant. But the price for New Year's Eve is high for a regular dinner. The weather was bearable, the sea is warmer than the air. There was wind at the upper level of the beach, but it was worth going down a little lower - no discomfort. The water slides weren't working (they are next to the Italian restaurant) so the kids were all crowded in the main pool. As for the reef, it's much more colorful if you sail towards Siwa :)

Thanks, niksti, clarified the situation a bit. We'll probably look at other options.
