Go to a hotel in Shaxx Bay, we were there in mid-January and swam every day. The sea was not stormy and there was practically no wind. Here is a good hotel and in January the price for it should be good:

Amar Sina goes 3+*, on foreign sites 4*. Gorgeous territory, good food, service for 5 points. Fanara beach from the hotel for free. We have a habit of visiting neighboring hotels for our next trips. Amar Sina wins against many. Of the neighboring 4 *, only Virginia 4 * was liked, but they don’t take them to Phanara beach from it. Of course, if you take Reef Oasis 5 *, then this is the best choice. IMHO

Continental Plaza Beach - 867
I was in the last one in January 2012 (see review in my account) - would advise 1st or 2nd. All three hotels stand side by side - there is only one bay, protected from the wind. I will take your advice into account for the next year, because I already bought it on January 12 for 22 tr in ISLAND GARDEN and was strongly recommended by a travel agent.
