How is it during Ramadan
Everyone, good time of the day. We are going to Sharm in early August, we saw that from the end of July to August 19, Muslims celebrate Ramadan. How is it at this time? Is the service deteriorating, can there be any additional inconvenience for tourists associated with this event?
Thanks!

many complain about the rest during Ramadan. you yourself understand: it’s hot, you can’t drink or eat the servants, and there are so many temptations around. After Ramadan, the local population comes with their families))) I always choose a time to relax so as not to fall on these dates. But if people’s vacation coincided like that - it is necessary to enter into a position ... to keep Uraza, especially in such inferno - it is very difficult.

I was in Sharm during Ramadan, in 2006. Then this holy month fell on September-October. If the guide had not told us about this, we would not have noticed anything at all. All hotel workers, guides and shop assistants were friendly and calm. The meaning of this period is fasting. A Muslim must not eat, drink, etc. (like a Christian during the fasting period), but only from dawn to dusk, from about 5:00 to 18:00. After sunset, you can drink, eat, etc.
The only advice: do not offer food, drinks, entertainment, etc. to the Egyptians. during daylight hours. This will be a provocation on your part and a possible reaction that is not entirely adequate in your opinion will become a reminder. If this is in forgetfulness, then just apologize and you will be understood.
The Egyptians are generally very patient and hardy people, friendly and cheerful, for the most part.

My family and I have been to Ramadan many times. This has almost no effect on tourists. Holidays are excellent as always. It didn't affect the service or attitude. The only thing that is really at the end of Ramadan in the hotel is a crazy influx of Arabs with their families. The attitude towards them is different, but I leave tips everywhere more often than our people. They will move the beds and spread the towel, and bring drinks to the sunbed. In the main restaurant during this period it is worse (their children are noisy, running, screaming, knocking everyone down).
We observed on the beach when, during Ramadan, the girls lie without the top of their swimsuit, and the hawkers of newspapers and towels inadvertently circle around. At the same time, they carry things on their heads so that one eye sticks out of the pile and looks at the "body".
Here I would recommend girls to treat with great respect the peculiarities of the religion of the country in which you arrive.
Egypt is a beautiful country. How you behave, such an attitude will be towards you (and towards the country you represent).
