As soon as the disease (love) becomes chronic, the weather conditions (as well as everything else) cease to be decisive. You go where it is more beautiful and virgin :)

AL NABILA GRAND BAY is a unique hotel of its kind. When the black flag (ban on swimming) is hung in neighboring hotels, everyone swims in Nabil, because. the hotel is in the bay. Very clean clear water, fish between the legs swim, there are 2 coral beaches. For me, the only negative is a large, not very green area and steps to the beach. About the wind in Hurghada, this is OBS radio (one woman said), no stronger than in Sharm. And to compare October and December is simply impossible! October is like the velvet season of early September in Crimea, but December is only the end of May or already the beginning of October. Is it clear now? Check out the Arabia Azur hotel, great mix of different beaches, and there are 2 lagoons from the wind. And the coral is perhaps the best in Hurghada. No currents, as in Sharm, it is very comfortable to snorkel. And the price for October is very good.

As elsewhere, year after year is not necessary. For example, I was in Hurghada both in November (2009) and December (2010). So, in November it froze harder, swam in the sea no later than 15 hours, and in December until 16-16-30. In the evening, put on a windbreaker or a sweatshirt and you will be fine. But December is cheaper for sure. And even better in Sharm, because. there is no such wind in the bay as in Hurghada. Keep within the budget, maybe more days will be enough

I would recommend Savita in Sharm. This is if you want a calm and warm sea. Intourist sells. And there are bushes with flowers on the beach. And most importantly, in neighboring hotels (on the right) people will be crowded in the sea (many swimmers and the sea is fenced with ropes), and Savita is the last in a series of hotels - there is where to swim. Then there is a section without hotels and only closer to the cape is the Melia Sinai hotel. Further on Melia Sinai towards Nabak there will already be winds, such a terrain is not suitable for autumn and, especially, winter trips.

When we arrived the water was 25-24 and while we were there the temperature dropped by a degree (we measured the temperature regularly). I really regretted not taking a full wetsuit. It will probably be warmer in the depths of Naama Bay, but not +27 (at least if you swim in the sea from a pontoon). In the evenings, it’s not a little cooler, when traveling in January (I didn’t go in December) in the evenings, I feel fine in an ordinary sports winter jacket, jeans, and sneakers. You can be on the beach during the day, but those places in the trough illuminate the sun heat up, which in the shade freeze.
