I recommend hotels in the Hadaba area. It's not so windy there in January:

The El Fanar hotel itself is expensive. But the hotels fixed from the second line, which I have listed, - and you swim in this bay, and more + that from the second line they also take you to the sandy bay of El Maya, it is very convenient to drive up to the Old Market at least every day. Gentlemen, I didn’t understand a little which Sunrise you mean. If we are talking about Sunrise Island Garden Resort 4, then how will there be no wind on the beach in January if there is an open sea. Or I’m wrong. I’m also looking for a hotel on 1- 2 lines (so that you can walk to the beach yourself) and protected from the winds.

I agree with Zlata28, we go to Egypt only for the most beautiful Red Sea, and not for an expensive vacation. Animation is already in third or even fourth place when choosing.

I support. I have enough of my "Animation" at work. I want (especially in winter) to swim in the warm sea watching the fish, lie on a sunbed and not hear anyone, but only the sound of the surf, look at the beauty of the Red Sea, this is the best relaxation for my family. Good afternoon! The best hotel for a winter holiday is Dessole Seti Sharm in El Maya Bay. There is a sandy entry into the sea, as well as a beautiful coral reef within a 10-minute walk. But vouchers there are not cheap, as it is very popular. The hotel is fully consistent with 4 stars. There are slides with a heated pool, ice cream for children, as well as crazy animation by Turkish animators. I advise everyone.
