Another good snorkeling at Baron Palms Resort Sharm El Sheikh (this one is more expensive) or as a more budgetary alternative to Coral Beach Rotana Resort-Montazah - it's all nearby. Tiran Island Hotel. Affordable in price, a small pontoon and a beautiful coral reef. A lot of divers come here.

TIRAN ISLAND HOTEL 4* - is it in the same area next to Melia? There seems to be a very small beach, although Coral Beach Rotana is really a little cheaper now.

Yes, it's next to Melia. We rested in Tiran Island, and swam from our native beach, and from Melia, and Coral Beach Rotana, and from Baron. From any pontoon on this coast. Nowhere, no one kicked us out. How things are now, I can not say. But we rested in January, at the height of the revolution, right after the sharks, and so it was. If the reef is important to you, then Tiran Island is quite suitable. 2nd line, 5 minutes walk to the beach, a bus runs regularly, but we never went on it. Pretty decent, relatively new hotel.
