no sharks, I didn't find them. 2 weeks like a fool swam - and did not find. divers found one, intimidated - she swam away with a nervous tic!

Anetka-gan, and thank God that neither you nor they found you!

yes)) I can only be caught in the sea by special Egyptian "fish" - men =) there are plenty of those in the water! be careful! they are already there!

What's with the way of turning serious questions that people are interested in into a show off like Anetka-gan? In addition, the mind does not shine! If you have something to say - say it, and if not, then don't bother for any reason !!! As a matter of fact, I can say the following. Arrived from Naama Bay on January 5th. The pontoons are closed everywhere, but in Naama the sandy entrance to the sea and almost all the beaches were open for comfortable swimming by the New Year. At least 50 meters. didn't swim that far. Everyone keeps to the shore, but everyone swims and there is enough for everyone. There were no sharks. Everything was quiet and calm. I recommend Naaama bay - you can swim very well, though without reefs. Snorkeling is weak, but safe.

And what's wrong with the fact that Anetka-gan wrote on the merits - that she personally checked the sea and did not see sharks?
In my opinion, this information is much more valuable than the one that journalists replicate.

More valuable to whom? And what? And to swim, no matter what, on a wild beach at a depth, in my opinion, this is the height of stupidity! So can we all rush there for Anetka-gan now? All the victims also thought that the shark would never attack them. So it’s better to swim where it’s safer. As they say, God saves the safe!

sony63, I certainly respect your opinion, but why did you decide that Naama is safer? Sharks specifically avoid this place and are you sure of that?
"More valuable to whom? And why?"
Well, at least for such maniacs as me ;) I go to Egypt just for the sake of snork. For several years, I specifically tried to find a shark and take a picture of it - I did not find it. Therefore, the objections of Anetka-gan are very understandable and close to me.
"All the victims also thought that the shark would never attack them. So it's better to swim where it's safer. As they say, God saves the safe!"
Exactly. If you think that Naama is safer than other places, then this is a sure way to put yourself in danger. The sea is generally an unsafe environment for humans. As soon as a person enters it, his place in the food chain changes dramatically. And this should always be remembered. Even at a time and place where you don't seem to expect an attack.

It turns out that we were not the only ones who had a good rest in Naama Bay! We just rested in the Gafi resort from December 26 to January 3. I see that many people, like us, rushed about with the choice of a hotel. And we also rebooked several times until we stopped at Gafi.
The hotel was chosen because of the beach. The beach is nice and big. We were immediately told in Tez Tour that this is the only hotel in Naama with an open beach. It really didn't close. And the security problem at the hotel was solved in a ridiculously simple way: they fenced off the sea with buoys at the level of the end of the pontoons (this is 60-70 meters) and put a guard with a harpoon on a pedal boat-catamaran (maybe with a toy, but it worked psychologically for many), and he He cruised with buoys all the time and guarded us. Of course, the fact that the beach was at the edge of the bay and the entrance was sandy worked more for safety, and further ahead, behind the buoys, a reef began, through which it would be difficult for a shark to cross - very shallow.
So we swam in this lagoon - the maximum depth to the reef was about 180 cm (almost everyone swam at 150), but it was decently wide. We bathed! And we have already seen fish and beautiful reefs many times before. Good luck everyone!

Swimming is already allowed almost everywhere, only in some hotels they put up a protective net, tourists still see sharks, but this is no longer the same shark that attacked people, this one has already disappeared. People calmly swim in Tirana, go there on excursions on a yacht, but the Ras Mohammed reserve has not yet been opened.

uv.sony63 let's not try to bite someone and accuse them of a lack of intelligence, with such phrases you only show yourself not from the best side.
"And to swim, no matter what, on a wild beach at a depth, in my opinion, this is the height of stupidity!" sorry, but you didn’t know that there are sharks in Egypt, and those millions of people who had previously flown and swam without nets are also stupid ??
judging by the fact that you also know where I swim, so you furiously proofread all my messages! God help! burn on! I'm glad to read you)))))))

Anette, I join the congratulations on the occasion of the "Expert of the Year", smart girl! And under the downpour, I also visited Egypt at that time. Cool! Well, you still don’t take offense at people, you know how everyone is worried about safety now. I remember and I somehow, recently, argued about safety. Even before the trip. Well, you are still more careful there with wild beaches. It's a pity if a shark grabs such a cool girl! All the very best to you.

yeah, i'm not offended. I'm just surprised. misfortune can happen everywhere, I felt it on myself with a vengeance. and God forbid that it does not happen to anyone. you always have to be safe. but you have to live!
Thank you for your congratulations! good luck to you
