First time going to Egypt. The hotel is 5 *, but the food is BB. What does this mean?
If the food is BB, i.e. breakfast, then how did you eat throughout the day. Did you buy at the hotel or take it with you, what would be enough for the whole day? Answer me. I'm going in mid January.

In what sense? Where did they take it from? If you mean from a restaurant at breakfast time, then five-star (and others too) hotels do not welcome the theft of food.
When VV dined at the hotel in a la carte for money, dined - when as, not always wanted. You can pay extra at the reception for lunch or dinner or for FB.

Only rich people go to Egypt for BB food (breakfast only), who can afford to pay about 700 or even 1000 dollars for a 7-day vacation.
It is much more profitable to go to Egypt on an all-inclusive basis, and only sometimes you can, if you wish, visit a restaurant to taste the local cuisine. We are on a low budget, and we learned for ourselves that we need All Inclusive in Egypt - it's much cheaper than paying extra on the spot, especially if the hotel is out of the way, but you want to drink - VERY HOT.
