Dreams Beach is not rich in lionfish and the underwater world. Take a look at the resort Dahab Hotel "Happy Life Village " (if you are not very picky about hotels), there, although the underwater world is relatively rich, but it is so many lionfish in one place I have not seen. The hotel is definitely suitable for December.

This hotel is closed by the mountains, was on New Year's Eve, almost no sail, touched every day. The hotel is not expensive, but I honestly did not like everything. But the lionfish is full when the sun begins to set over the mountains.

On the reef in Sharm, Raz Nazrani, Pasha Bay and the beginning of Gadens Bay were the most popular, but most hotels in these bays are not cheap, and those that are cheaper have a very low rating. I also liked the beginning of Nabq Bay, but it is absolutely not suitable for winter.

olga.drachevska My personal opinion is that one should definitely not expect good service from Egypt, at least in the range up to $1000. And it’s not a fact that it makes sense to overpay several times for a good Egyptian service. If the underwater world has come to you (I only fly there for the sake of fish), then place more emphasis on where the reef is more beautiful and does not storm, but just close your eyes to the service. For us, even the same dream beach at different times caused different impressions (the price, however, also sagged accordingly), but the fish will never offend))))

Continental Plaza Beach reef is much more interesting than Otium. Coral is brighter, the concentration of fish is much higher, there are moray eels, huge stingrays, Napoleon and all that you have seen,

It is better to choose an interesting underwater world than, for example, slides or gourmet food. And to save the money saved on excursions and, perhaps, to get a diver's certificate (I liked to dive). But snorkeling suits me)))
In total, I have three favorites, but maybe closer to the desired dates to change something in terms of cost / opportunity.
