Let's look at the beginning of March. For now, I give priority to the Faraana Reef Resort, it is in a chic location, the most windless bay of Sharma, but the hotel is so-so and the Hilton hotel is better but the wind and maybe we won’t swim.

We are from the Moscow region. We flew several times to Egi via Istanbul, connections are not annoying. Once they flew directly to Marsa Alam from Berlin, through the German TUI.

The number of rooms is being updated, but the hotel itself (former Movenpick) is quite old. We were in it in the fall of 2019, we rested in a renovated room, it differs in price, everything is great. Have a great rest! Animation is right in front of the main restaurant so it won't blow you away in March. The food is not varied, but you won't leave hungry for sure. The reef is normal and you can swim along it for quite some time. We met turtles, moray eels, stingrays. But there is practically no beach strip, it did not bother us, since the sunbeds are scattered in a cascade on mini-terraces, which gives privacy. The staff is very friendly.
But the hotel has a nuance - a steep descent / ascent to the sea with numerous stairs, not for everyone.
As a result, excellent value for money. Take the mood and everything will be fine!

Definitely Faraana, the reef is everything. If you will be without children and ready for exploits, then ... 25 minutes on foot and the old city. Taxi and clubs. Decide what you are eating.

- reef: my imha - in Faraan! RUES - zebest. in Waterfalls the reef is much poorer
- beach, sea: in Waterfalls there is a beach with huge mattresses (photo), and a pontoon (there is a descent by steps and max 10 loungers); in Faraan there are good sunbeds on pre-order for money, the rest are a bit wrinkled, and the mattresses are not good ... but again - riiiiif !!!
- food: in previous years, Waterfalls outweighs here. and restik, and a la carte, and fast food downstairs near the salty pool. and more fruits and vegetables, and ice cream ... but then again - it was 2019
- rooms: soap dispensers and toilet paper in Faraan. in Waterfalls full minced meat and a kettle of tea-coffee-sugar

- service: I personally did not like the reception in Faraan - as in any "poor" hotel, they began to squeeze out from the first second. the question is not "it's a pity", the question is "what for?"... the bartenders both there and there are great (perhaps we are lucky)))). the cleaners are equally lazy. the cooks... in Waterfalls are more professional, in Faraan they are sincere (probably trying to compensate for the poor choice). animators in both cases well done
