long-awaited vacation

Hotel ratings by criteria:
We haven't had a rest for a long time and I already miss writing reviews : -) This time there were already four of us (two adults, a 10-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter). For the infanta they paid extra only 50 c. u. e.
In general, the impression of the hotel is very ambiguous, but first things first.

Location (excellent)
We drove from the airport for 20-30 minutes, bringing other tourists along the way. There are shops near the hotel. Somewhere in the 40-minute walk from the hotel - Old Town, 8 minutes drive (free) leather center. Three times a day there are buses to Naama Bay (in the morning for free, in the afternoon and in the evening for money).

Territory (excellent)

We were satisfied. I will say that initially we chose between this hotel and Royal Grand Sharm, which we visited the previous time, and which is located next door. We decided not to repeat ourselves : -) Yes, the territory is not as green as in the neighboring hotel. But it is well-groomed and large, there are many paths between the buildings, there are waterfalls, a gazebo.
It was convenient for us to walk with a stroller and, most importantly, there was where to walk and what to admire.

Number (good)
Here we are of two minds. We took a standard room, and immediately received a two-room suite on the first floor with access to the pool without any additional payments. Despite the fact that the building is located even before the reception, as if at the entrance to the hotel, there was no feeling that we live on the outskirts.
Again, compare with Royal Grand SHarm. Sunrise Diamond is a newer hotel, but the rooms are shabby, the furniture creaks, rather stunted. Many people write about problems with plumbing, we didn’t have them, everything worked without problems.

Service (excellent)
Again, two sides of the coin. We got to the hotel at 9:30 in the morning, we were settled almost immediately. Although there were many new tourists in the hotel. And the louder they shouted and demanded to give them free access to the bar, the later they were settled.
But we were stupidly given the key to the room with everything attached and sent to look for a room on our own.
We walked around several buildings and came back without finding our number. Here the guest relation, which was addressed, helped. She took us in, explained that this is the best option for staying with children, showed us the room.
But my request for a kettle in the room was never fulfilled. I asked 4 times from the guest relation, and from the Tez-tour, and at the reception. Everyone nods, smiles, says “of course”, but “things are still there” ...As a result, children's cereals and the mixture had to be made using ordinary bottled water.

On the first day we met (we gave a little bit of money) with the bartender by the pool and those who give out towels. All 8 days, only dust particles were not blown away from us: drinks were poured at any time (although we did not abuse kindness), brought to the room; the umbrella was opened in the morning even without my request, a couple of times the towel was changed during the day.
The waiters in the restaurant are somewhat inconspicuous. Benefits from them 0. For all 8 days, once we were offered wine at dinner and poured coffee during breakfast.
But no one is rude, they don’t kick you out of the tables, as they wrote in other reviews.

Food (bad plus)
This is not the first time we have been in Egypt, and I was warned that there could be problems in connection with the crisis and the revolution, but I was not ready for this. We are not picky about food and if anyone is interested and reads my previous reviews, they will understand that I never complained about food. But I have never seen so much monotonous, tasteless food, and even with a meager choice. Chicken, pasta, rice, cucumbers and tomatoes are all you can find in the main restaurant. Once there was only a fish day, when the menu was different, and there was absolutely nothing to eat that day : -)
Plus I bet for sweets and fruits - they were tasty and there was enough choice, although without frills like strawberries. But it is difficult to feed a man with sweets and fruits ...
There would be absolutely nothing to feed a small child there, we took canned baby food.

Sports (excellent)
We did not participate, but we saw a lot and our eldest child took part in some sports. Football field, two tennis courts, beach volleyball, small tennis, aerobics, dancing, darts, bocha, gym and Jacuzzi (free of charge and without reservation under the UAI system).

Sea/beach (excellent)
We didn't use the beach this time. It was windy enough for a small child and definitely cool for swimming in the sea. Beaches per se 3 (large coastal area divided into 3 parts), pontoon 1, beach bar and evening oriental restaurant (for UAI system without reservation).

Swimming pool (excellent)
The hotel has three swimming pools. The largest is unheated, with music, a bar right in the pool and a children's pool next to it. A little higher is the smallest pool - heated, with music and a bar, which is just next to it.

Even higher is the middle pool (near which we actually lived) - heated, without music, a bar in the pool and a children's pool nearby. The thermometer showed water 28-30 degrees, but it felt like it was no more than 24. Everyone swam : -)

Animation, entertainment (good)
Animators are trying, there are a lot of them. During dinner, they invite everyone to animation shows very actively. All in themed costumes, cheerful and friendly. The eldest child liked the show every other time, we did not go. Arab dances were caught in an oriental restaurant - men should like it : -)

Children (good with a minus)
On the territory there are two playgrounds and a kids club. Maybe because there were few Russian children, but our son was bored there. He found entertainment with adults. Although a couple of times he came painted and happy.
Every day at 20:30 disco.
There is a separate room for little ones, where you can stay with your mother. The restaurant has high chairs.
I don't know for extra. charge or not, but the hotel can take a stroller.

Let's summarize:
We rested well. The hotel is family run, quiet, with a small number of Russians. We relaxed and enjoyed the "+" and turned a blind eye to the "-". The main thing in rest is your mood and desire to relax, and the sea and the sun will help in this! I wish you all a good rest and pleasant impressions. See you again : -)
