We want to come with families for the New Year. How many Arabs spend New Year's Eve at Il Mercato? I'm not against the Arabs, but in the last hotel there were a lot of them and behaved disgustingly

Muslims have their own NG, floating, has nothing to do with the Orthodox, and even they do not celebrate it. Moreover, hotels traditionally raise prices for the holidays and the locals will not go there yet for this reason. So you are guaranteed freedom from the locals, but you will admire how ours behave)

There are few Egyptians in this hotel. I noticed that a lot of Slavs go to it.
And the New Year in Egypt does not coincide with ours, so all "our" holidays are an excuse for the hotel to simply raise prices.

Greetings
The guys above correctly wrote about the Muslim New Year, and about the price increase, because of which the local Arabs will not go.
I would only add that (according to my observations) highly educated Arabs (who, for example, studied abroad) celebrate the New Year on January 1st along with the whole world. And the increase in cost for the holiday will never scare them away.
Therefore, you can meet Arabs in this hotel for the New Year, but they will not be the local "comrades" with whom you were "lucky" to meet earlier: you will not see ugly behavior))
Have a nice holiday

What do you think of this hotel? Thanks for answers.

Initially, when it was built, it was positioned as a fashionable 5-ka. Next to the hotel, they built a street - a promenade, with fashionable shops ... But the crisis came ... The hotel was resold, the street was empty, most of the shops were closed. Kind of sad. They carry on the sea, their beach is in the bay of El Maya. The hotel pools are indoors. The hotel somehow survives due to dumping prices. I would like to visit it (?), definitely not.

In some ways I agree, in some ways I don't. The hotel is fully consistent with its price, one of the cheapest 5 *. Therefore, if you choose a budget option, you will not lose. But there is also a very tiny territory, as for me it is acceptable for Europe, when you spend a minimum of time in a hotel, but not for Egypt, in a day the walls will begin to crush and there will be nowhere to put yourself. So, if you are planning to go on excursions, the hotel is good, if you want to spend time in a hotel, there are other options in this budget. But this is purely subjective.)

Guys, we just want to celebrate the new year on a budget. Maybe you can advise something. The minimum budget is up to 30 thousand. UAH with a bet. for 6-7 days.
аватар ollennka
Well, in general, it would be logical not to go to an Arab country if the Arabs are straining. There are many places where you can celebrate the New Year, you have the whole of Europe at your side and without visas.

Fancase, what do you mean the pools are indoors??? Bpseyny only covered??
аватар Elenka08
Maybe people want to meet in a warm country NG
аватар Fancase
Swimming pool one on the roof of the building, the second indoors.

You can go to Europe, but we want to be warm. :) The Arabs don't bother me. We were just in Dream Beach and there were a lot of them, they had some kind of holiday and it was just awful. They behaved very badly and no one stopped it at the hotel. We always celebrated the new year in Poland, but this time we decided in Egypt. Il mercato seems to be not bad, but I'm not sure. That's why I asked for advice. Like Grand Hotel, Grand Oasis. I did not like Turkvais, Dream Beach (although the beach there is a bomb!) I don’t remember the rest of the names. We go to new hotels every time. There were 10 times.

In Turkey, then you can still try - it’s warm enough for walking there, and it’s suitable for the budget. And there are almost no Arabs.

And there are almost no Arabs.

))) And what is the fundamental difference between 98% of Turkish Muslims and Arabs? And as for me, they are many times more uncomfortable than the Egyptians
аватар ollennka
This is all subjective, of course, but in my opinion, the Turks are much cleaner, less fanatical in terms of religion, pissing on the streets much less often, yelling less and practically do not climb into the pools in their clothes.

It is good to have a rest in Cyprus and Tunisia in winter, Tunisia is also Arabs, but not as annoying as in Egypt. In Turkey, you can choose Mersin as an alternative to Antalya, or resorts with thermal springs in Turkey
аватар ollennka
Mersin is a great idea, I support it!

If you want without the Egyptians, then you are in Steinberger, Hurghada. ))) and in Sharm, of course, they will be - this is their main local resort. In addition to Muslims, there are 15 million Christian Arabs (Copts) in Egypt - they celebrate all Christian holidays and have a positive attitude towards the New Year. Personally, the Egyptians do not annoy me at all, they do not interfere with anything. In the expensive hotels of Sharm, the Egyptians are not poor Cairo, educated, decent people, most of whom are familiar with English - if something bothers you, you can always talk to them politely - and the problem will be solved. They are not set up for conflicts, they are not aggressive - they are not Turks. Pretty open people. Like you, just came to rest. And if you start, for example, arguing and swearing with them, you will encounter a wall of misunderstanding.
