We were in this hotel twice (2017-2018) from December 24 to December 31. There was no particularly strong wind, not critical. The beach worked, the children swam. You can go to the bay (200 meters to the left of the hotel, behind Melton Beach) and there is practically no wind at all + a cool reef 15 meters from the shore.
