Hello, can you tell me if it is worth bringing fins with you?
Or is it cheaper to buy them there?

If you like to swim in flippers, take it, if you don’t have it at home, then you can buy it cheaper there.

In the Red Sea (were in the Citadel - also Sal Hasheesh) I liked swimming more without fins. Although, I'm a weak swimmer. But it was easy to stay on the water there (with a mask and snorkel I watched corals). My husband has the same opinion. He said that the fins only pull to the bottom. Without them (in slippers for bathing) it is more convenient.

The husband is a snork fanatic, he doesn’t enter the water without fins - he likes it that way. But usually he buys in Egypt, he doesn’t take them home, they are too bad to put in a suitcase :-)
Last time I bought fins for $10..

For me, it is better to buy at home in special stores. This applies to shoes, as well as masks and snorkels.
Good equipment costs the same there as we do, only we can buy it without bargaining, with feeling, sense, arrangement.

If you have your own, then of course take it. if it doesn't matter what quality - you can buy on the spot. but IMHO in Hurghada you can do without :)

Buy there! If you bargain, buy crackers for a hat!

if you do not need professional equipment
then IMHO, it is better to buy there
and inexpensive and do not carry extra weight on yourself

Bought fins here and there. Of course, the lower price category will be cheaper there, but these will be stiff fins, not very comfortable on the foot and not very comfortable for long swims. Fins of a better class cost about the same, but there you will be brainwashed in a shop, and here you will have the opportunity to think.
You can do without fins if you are not swimming 30 cm above the coral, you are not swimming into narrow crevices and you are not going to fight strong currents.
But if you want to take good underwater photos, it will be difficult without fins.
