I'm still not sure about Egypt, maybe I'll fly to another country as a result. And as for "swinging" - I have already seen half of these places, however, for a long time. It needs to be refreshed. By the way, maybe it will come in handy for someone - based on the results of reading the forum "of the one whose name we do not name," I slightly simplified the route in terms of logistics. Cairo (+ Giza, Saqqara and Ismailia - there is the Suez Canal) 3 days, then by train or bus to Alexandria 2 days, then return to Cairo and excursion to the White Desert for the whole day, then from Cairo by plane to Luxor (+ Dandara) 2 days, from Luxor by cruise or by bus to Aswan (+ Abu Simbel) 2 days, from Aswan by plane to Sharm 5 days). So that rest is relaxation, and not masochism for 7-10 hours in buses.

Marsa Alam is a resort village :-). there really is nothing but hotels and the airport yet. But a good 4-5 * hotel with infrastructure (and there hotels have EVERYTHING, like in Sharm) you will have enough for a relaxing holiday - believe that you will have so many impressions and adventures from Alexandria to Aswan in a short time that you will stupidly want to lie down a little on the sand ... Marsa Alam is better than Shesh for coral fish. but to go to Shesh for 4-5 days, in order to spend 2 days of them on the canyon and the monastery of St. Catherine, this is super extreme ... You also include climbing Mount Moses in the program (in Shesh), and you can really be called "holy" ;-) It's really physically hard, such "jumps" ...
