Excursions from Taba
Good afternoon! You wrote about the cost of an excursion from Taba to Jerusalem for $180. I heard that in hotels they sell for 260. Where can I buy cheaper? Thanks, I'll be waiting for an answer. We are going at the end of November to Intercontinental, Taba. Other excursions are also of interest

Good evening! Unfortunately, I did not find anything specific in the recommendations. They only write, for example, that tours to Israel can be bought for 150-180 dollars, and not for 260 from the operator. But for some reason no one wrote where and from whom to buy.
аватар Juliana
260 dollars is from Hurghada, Sharma, probably. There is no such price in Taba! Each hotel has a tour desk where you can choose any tour you like. So don't worry so much about it. I was in Taba, so they ran after me to sell this or that ticket! In May, a trip to Israel, including Jerusalem, visiting and relaxing on the Dead Sea cost $ 160. I doubt that the price has risen much. Conti is a cool hotel, just be careful with eviction!!!
аватар Juliana
Clearly count the number of days of stay and when the flight back! It is important. Since you must check out before 12 days from the room - you are automatically forbidden to eat for free and no one picks up hunger whether you have children or maybe you want to drink, sit on your suitcases in the heat and wait for your plane! Arabs instantly cease to be polite and shrug their shoulders, they say we are not too old - these are the rules! Here is such a picture. In Conti, an additional fee for half a day costs $ 100 - so take money for everyone :-)

Thank you very much, Juliana!
Thank you for letting us know about the eviction, we will prepare. And on excursions then I will not do anything in advance! And then I already wanted to write to a travel agency in Sharm so that I could buy Jerusalem cheaper from them (they sell for 160: 140 + 20 visa)

I think it’s easier and faster to decide on excursions on the spot
аватар vinny_79
Just got back from Tabi. We went to Jerusalem for $ 200 from Thesis Tour, Pegasus - 230.
аватар Marilyn
Thanks to all who responded.
They wrote to me from the Sharm travel agency http://allsharm.com that you can still buy an excursion from them from Taba (apparently, they will drop into the hotel at night and pick up the bus that carries people from Sharm)
Now here I sit and think, to fuss ahead of time or to buy everything on the spot? There are a lot of relatively fresh reviews (October, November 2007) that tour operators sell for 260. Expensive of course .. And if it works out for 150-160, then maybe you can think about Peter .. :)
аватар Marilyn
Please, tell me, Vinny_79, what day of the week did you go? someone wrote that on Tuesdays and Fridays (when Sharm is massively taken there) in Jerusalem, there are long queues in all visited places. And from Taba, supposedly, excursions on Wednesdays. And there, accordingly, there are fewer people, as a result, tourists have time to see more. This is true?
Thanks

I’ll get in too. Don’t flatter yourself about seeing it anymore! Because they bring all the tourists from all the resorts! it's good if you get to customs at night, like we did. not hot, but tiring, because in that border zone there is neither a toilet nor food, so before traveling to Jerusalem, do not eat anything exotic and take water with you. I can’t say anything about the cost, because they paid 120 bucks in Kiev. About lunch on the day of eviction (I spied on some forum):
аватар foxxa
if you are taking a full day tour, go to the reception and tell it, they will note in their computer that you did not have lunch and transfer this unused lunch or dinner to the day of departure, because they take into account the number of meals for each person ... be sure to go to Petra! You won't regret it, I was delighted! I paid 240 bucks.
аватар Marilyn
Thank you very much. A note about lunch. Let's try and do that! And you went for 10 days or 2 weeks. It is realistic to go on 2 excursions in 10 days (Jerusalem and Petra). Or is it better to move one of them to the next time?
аватар konyk979
Excursion two days to Jerusalem from the local agency Saif Tours is an excellent organization - $ 250.
One day -140$ in February 2009. If you are interested, I can tell you how to find an agency.
This is not the first time we have dealt with them and our acquaintances have traveled with them, all are satisfied with the organization.

DO NOT FOLLOW THIS ADVERTISING Abdulla from his accomplice Tatiana!!!
I chose the taboo specifically to go on excursions to Israel and Petra. I read in advance on the Internet reviews about various organizers (native Pegasus and local Abdullah and Ibrahim). He decided that Pegasus was not doing well with his compatriots, ripping us off for 50-70 bucks from a two-day trip to Israel and 40-50 greens in one day to Jordan. And I chose in the end Abdullah.
PEOPLE!!! Never, you hear, NEVER! do not mess with Abdullah and his manager Tatyana. I, the fool, stepped on this rake twice. Do not repeat my mistakes yourself and tell all your acquaintances, unfamiliar and complete strangers, give a link to this review of mine on other sites ...
Now more. At first, Tatyana (namely, she represents Abdullah both by e-mail and by phone) was politeness and punctuality itself. In the letter, she described in detail the program of excursions, promised a discount for the purchase of two.
Then she called the hotel strictly at the appointed time, at least check the clock. And here is the tour itself.
аватар SergelxxTAba
Looking ahead, I’ll say that crossing the border and putting “those” or “wrong” stamps in the passport, which Russian operators scare tourists with, is the same procedure for everyone. And then how lucky you are - either you will slip through in an hour or you will hang for six hours. (We walked in two.) The bus, transfers, guide and hotels for two-day excursions are also the same conditions for Pegasus and Ibrahim and others. BUT! I am a believer. I went to Israel for two days in order to visit the holy places to the maximum (although I understood that two days for this is simply ridiculous). By the way, who just needs to go to the shrines, “so that it is”, that is, check the box in their biography that the person was in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, you can safely go with a 1-day excursion, and with any operator (except for Abdullah, of course ). At first everything was fine. Well, we visited the Wailing Wall.
I don’t know why the Orthodox need it, it’s a Jewish shrine (no one in our group showed belonging to this religion). Well, they looked, and okay. Then there was Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity. I will not describe the feelings that gripped me. Everyone has their own. Let me just say that I, as an Orthodox person, was delighted! Well, we lost extra money and priceless
аватар SergelxxTAba
a priceless hour of time in a shamelessly expensive souvenir and icon shop. But this is the scourge of all guides and all tour operators. Then we had a good lunch and returned to Jerusalem. We went to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Not along Via Dolorosa, as promised, but from above, as a shorter one. We galloped through the old city and through the temple itself, without touching either Golgotha or entering Edicule (it was necessary to stand in lines for 20-30 minutes) ... But at 15:15 we were already taken out of the Jaffa Gate (and even with the words, how we were delayed!), seated on buses (some to Jordan, some back to Egypt, and some to Bethlehem for the night) and EVERYTHING! To our fair indignation, they say, where is the Room of the Last Supper, where is the panorama of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, where is the Garden of Gethsemane, where is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin, we were told that all this closes at 17:00, maximum at 17:45, and you are very tired - go to the hotel for a rest.
Excuse me, but there are still 2.5 hours before closing, and we were driving to see these places, even if we were exhausted. It's no use... They loaded us (9 people into a seven-seater minibus) and took us to a hotel in the Palestinian territory.
аватар SergelxxTAba
In general, less than half of what Tatyana promised us on this excursion was shown to us. But for half a day we spent half a day in a deep hole, where we couldn’t go out for a walk or drink properly ... I must say that the second day (Nazareth and the Jordan River) was great! Separate respect and many thanks to the guide Dima (Rachman is his last name). On the first day, our guide was terrible. If you come across an aunt named Nonna, chase her in the neck and demand a replacement guide. He knows little, tells the story in tongue-tied language, behaves shamelessly, calls Abraham Abrasha, and so on.
аватар SergelxxTAba
Then there was a trip to Petra. Tatyana sang so sweetly, apologized so much, promised a large discount on this excursion as compensation, that my heart could not stand it, and I again went through Abdullah. Looking ahead, I’ll say that everyone with whom I traveled to Israel together from Abdullah bought a tour to Jordan already from Ibrahim. As a result, we were loaded onto one ferry and no longer differentiated. And the price of Tatyana with a "grand" discount turned out to be exactly the same as that of Ibrahim for everyone.
So. Tatyana did not call at the appointed time. Sent an SMS with the time of departure. At 6:40 am. At 6:38 I was waiting for the bus at the barrier of the hotel. He stood there alone, "like three poplars on Plyushchikha." That is, apart from me and the border police there was not a single soul, not a single piece of equipment. I also decided not to take my phone with me… There is no bus at the appointed time, no bus at 6:50, no at 7:00… By 7:20 Ibrahim's group began to gather.
Full and satisfied (breakfast at the hotel from 6:30, so I didn’t have time to eat, but they had a normal breakfast). I scold Abdulla and Tatiana for what the world is worth, and even more myself - well, how could I step on the same rake a second time. Exactly at 7:20 a bus came for them. The people call me with them, "keep"
аватар SergelxxTAba
“holds” my bus while I ran for the phone. I call Tatyana (note that this is my money, and a lot of it - calls are expensive in Egypt!), She cynically tells me that the bus has already been waiting for me. Then he says that he, it turns out, is late and is about to come for me. Meanwhile, my roommates traveling with Ibrahim found out that he could take me to their group. I haven't paid anyone yet. And a visa (to Jordan an application for it is submitted in advance) I had to issue Abdullah. I declare this to Tatyana and press "hang up". Two minutes later, Abdullah himself, unknown before, calls me. He speaks disgusting Russian, so, not intending to spend my money on asking again what he meant, I press the end call again and do not answer calls anymore.
Upon arrival at the port (it is said loudly - in fact, to the pier :) ), Abdulla's people are looking for me, they put the phone in my ear ... I understood what he was so excited about - he had already paid for my visa, and I gave the entire amount to Ibrahim. I don't care about money. But at least some moral compensation - that this freak spent money on me, and a good man (Ibrahim), on the contrary, received more money. DO NOT CONTACT WITH TATYANA AND ABDULLAH!!!!!!!

We went from Taba to Israel on a tour for 100 bucks. We saw everything the same, that Pegasus costs 180 bucks. We used the services of an Egyptian company by calling them on the phone. Their names are Ruslan and Natasha. We were picked up from the hotel. And they returned it. We lived at the Sol y mar Sea Star hotel!

We went on 2 day trips to Israel and Jerusalem via Ibrahim. They came to him based on reviews on the Internet, signed off even before leaving St. Petersburg, everyone asked: prices, excursions, Ibragim answered us in detail, and then Alexander joined. As agreed, upon arrival they sent an SMS with the room number, Ibrahim called us back to the room, said what time the appointed day would go downstairs. By the way, Ibragim's prices were significantly (almost 2 times) lower than those of Pegasus. We were 5 people (three more joined me and my girlfriend), Ahmed (Ibrahim's younger brother) was waiting for us at the reception, invited us to a minibus and we went to Israel. We went through customs very quickly, in Israel another large and comfortable bus was waiting for us and the tour began! The guide was wonderful - Nona (a former resident of Kharkov), cheerful, with humor. In general, this is all you need to see, you can’t convey everything in a story. Wow, very impressive!!
Everything is well organized! And I really, really liked Perth, there was a Russian-speaking guide Mahmud (but asked to call him Sasha), I also really liked it !!!! Petra is amazing, a must see!!! Highly recommend!!

But… Upon my arrival from Petra, an “adventure” happened to me: I discovered that I had lost my camera!!!!! It was terrible!!!!! So many photos from Israel and Jordan!! Not hoping for a miracle at all, almost crying, I called Ibragim (I didn’t even remember where I could have lost it). He called back in 5 minutes!!! Fotik was found on the rocket on which we sailed from Jordan to Egypt!! It was happiness!!! After 5 minutes, Akhmed (Ibragim's younger brother) drove for me and my girlfriend, and we rushed to the port with him and the driver, where (it was happiness!!!) I received my camera!!!!!!! If I had been told earlier that having lost something in Egypt, it was possible to return it, I would not have believed it !!! A HUGE THANK YOU TO IBRAHIM AND EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED IN SEARCHING FOR MY FOTIK (AHMED, DRIVER and others!!!) Just got back from Taba. Traveled with my 9 year old son. Lived in Radisson. We went on 2 excursions - to Israel and Jordan. Both excursions were taken from Ibrahim. Subscribed by SMS. The site (the address is written in the post above) was found before the trip. They were very satisfied. On the organization of excursions - everything is at the usual level. No worse than the official tour operators Pegasus and TezTour, but in some ways it is possible and better.
