You can’t remove anything sensible with your phone under water, but any case will allow you to dive for a couple of meters. Don't bother too much. It’s better to order a Chinese action camera with an underwater box on aliexpress. It's not too expensive and it's pretty decent quality.

- phone cameras, when shooting video, do not track autofocus well, especially with sudden movements, the video will be blurry until autofocus works.

If the cotton pads are dry, you can safely use a phone case. You can, if you want to check before the trip, also lower the case with cotton pads into a bath of water.

Any cover, I took it on Aliexpress with delivery of about 0.80USD, scored 5pcs for 4USD and it’s not the cheapest with 2 plastic latches, but the problem was still there, the sensor didn’t respond, then it zoomed in, etc. To deceive, you need a little air between the sensor and the film + turn on shooting before diving, then cut off and edit the excess + when the phone is completely immersed, you need to not pull it for about 5 seconds to set up autofocus and shoot in good sunny weather (at noon), preferably without waves, then shooting quality is obtained. In the morning and in the evening the quality of the shooting is not very good. Moreover, if you want to take pictures, I used the volume buttons or up or down without a difference during the shooting. I also got a Chinese LEEco 5.7 6/128G camera 8/21Mpx on Ali for 200USD. I swam 20 times, the cover never leaked, the main thing is not to drop it, put a strap on your neck, otherwise you will dive deep later

You can't shoot underwater with a phone in a waterproof case! As long as you shoot the bottom from the surface, everything will be fine, but as soon as the phone is turned to shoot into the distance and even dive more than a meter, the water will start clicking through the film and random operations will begin on the phone, as a rule, shooting stops immediately. This can be avoided by inserting something between the screen and the film of the hermetic case. But then you won't see anything. I adapted by cutting a hole in the thick polypropylene foam for launching the camera application, for starting and stopping recording, a few holes for focusing and rough orientation of the frame. With my finger, I push harder than water. Thus, at a depth of up to 6 meters, spontaneous triggering was avoided, but in general, a hermetically sealed phone case is protection against splashes and so as not to drown, no more. I have a TAYOGO WaterSport Armband Case IPX8 black for a 6.5" phone.
