I'm going to Sharm hotel IL Mercato. Should I buy a mask with glasses with diopters at home or will it be cheaper to buy there?

Husband found only glasses with diopters

I have a mask with diopters. I bought in Nizhny Novgorod in the Equipment store. In any specialized store, ask the seller for which models of masks there are glasses with diopters. Buy a mask and glasses with diopters for it. In 5 minutes, sellers will replace ordinary glasses with diopter glasses on your mask.

I found in Minsk. Mask + glasses with diopters - about $ 80. Is it possible to find it cheaper in Sharm?

The item is rarely in demand. The probability of stumbling upon him in Egypt is low and it's not even about the price. You just won't find it for any money. So hope for a chance or buy expensive, but it's guaranteed to be up to you.

Shocked by the question. The fact is that in the mask in the water, my "land" -4 somehow noticeably improves almost to the complete absence of myopia, every time I was going to ask why it was the angle of refraction of water or something else, but I forgot; and now I learned with delight that there are masks designed for myopic people.

My opinion is that the product is specific and it is better to buy it in the city of residence, I doubt that it can be purchased in shops in Egypt. It’s even hard to find smart masks there, I carry my own equipment, bought in a divers store, picked up “for myself”.

Why not use contact lenses? My mother wears glasses, but during the holidays they bought lenses - there are daily replacements, monthly and quarterly. And convenient, and cheaper than buying a mask, and without problems

I agree with the previous author. It is best to purchase contact lenses, at least for the duration of the trip. Now there is such a large selection of lenses that even with high eye sensitivity, you can choose the right one.

For me, at one time this question was hyper relevant, since I have an "eagle look" at -6, and I don’t wear lenses in principle. On the first trip, I had an "aquanaut" mask (like the Soviet one) and glasses without temples inserted into it. Basically, everything worked out. Then I realized that the Red Sea is serious for me and bought a mask with diopters. Bought in a store in Ukraine. Pleasure is not the cheapest. I think you can find such a mask in specialized diving shops in Sharm. At the hotel, a tourist told me that he bought himself such a mask in Dahab for $30. But such a mask will be sold there and, importantly, glasses of the required degree of correction - this is how lucky. I would not risk - either lenses, or go to Sharm already with a mask.
