Choose where the hotel is cheaper and better - I would choose Sharm. You will not see anything special that is not in Sharm in Mars (all living creatures are the same, well, maybe a little more turtles ...), besides, Mars is sElo sEl = no infrastructure outside hotels + there is always a strong wind (if you don’t go in summer )

Madly in love with Charm and Marsa. There are more living creatures in Marsa Alam, the reefs are magnificent. True, there is no life outside the hotel, only restaurants in Port Ghalib. There is also a fish one. Port Ghalib is quite good, as it is now, read the reviews. I didn’t like the former Crown Plaza in Sharm at all ... If you haven’t been to Marsa Alam, then you should go. In winter, Mars has strong and cold winds; at a temperature of 22-25 * C it is quite cool. If you swim for 15 minutes in the sea, even in a wetsuit, your back and head freeze. Getting out of the water is tough.

Fully agree with templier71. The biggest inconvenience is the loss of a day from boarding the plane to the hotel. 4 hours from Hurghada +'-1 hour. Before the port of Ghalib, how lucky you are to do transportation to hotels along the way. Planes from Ukraine do not fly to Mars.
