Please advise a hotel with a reef and a gentle sandy entrance to the sea.
First of all, I am interested in seeing the living creatures in the sea, normal rooms, safe food, and parties are not particularly needed. Budget up to 1200. Departure - the first half of November, better from Odessa, at least Kyiv.
I will be with my pregnant wife.
Interested in Arabia Azur, but confuse reviews. I’m also considering the Hilton Long Beach Resort, I’m also confused by the reviews and remoteness from Hurghada
1. What can you say about these hotels? Please advise the best options for our budget.
2. Is it worth it for a pregnant woman to go to Egypt for a period of 6-7 months (she feels great, there are no problems)
Many thanks in advance for your replies.

I was at the Hilton 3 years ago, in principle I liked everything, the food was not very good, but it's been 3 years now, maybe everything has changed. The territory is very large, it will be necessary to walk around. There is a gentle entry and a pier where we watched the fish. The rooms were large, everything you need was there.

Leave your wife at home. An heir is more important than entertainment. Even if she feels great. Being abroad for pregnant women is a big risk, even if you have insurance. Be patient a little, and in a year and a half you will be traveling everywhere
You - Marsa Alam, Shams Alam hotel - gentle sandy slope and beautiful reef

I would not risk flying at such a time, and doctors do not advise, by the way - pressure drops during takeoff-flight-landing are not good for a child. Up to 4 months you can still fly, after - the child is more important than rest. Postpone a family trip for 1.5 years :)
And to be sure, let her doctor tell her that she is planning a flight and vacation in Egypt for such a period, he will tell us better than us why she shouldn’t do this (if this is a normal doctor who doesn’t care about her own pregnant woman)

Old Palace Resort Sahl Hasheesh great hotel!!! Sea 5+, food for 3, service 4, but all the shortcomings are covered by the gorgeous sea and beach !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon! I advise you Makadi Bay, it is 30 km from Hurghada. There is a large bay and good hotels. I recommend Stella Garden for your budget. Although it is on the 2nd line, it is clean, with normal food and good pools. There is a reef in the sea, though a longish pontoon, there is also a sandy entrance. At the expense of the wife's pregnancy, decide for yourself. 2.5 years ago we flew to rest in Crete with my wife at a gestation period of 7 months, we absolutely normally endured both flights and holidays, we even went on excursions.

in the Old Palace Resort Sahl Hasheesh in Hurghada, the entrance to the sea is sandy, reefs on both sides, I advise !!!!

The author, take your $ 1200, put it in the bank, in 2 years you will have an even cooler rest for this money, but already the 3rd))
After Egypt ceased to be so popular for tourists, they found a new way of earning money - "milking insurance". If a person gets poisoned, cut, bruised, etc. They exacerbate his condition in order to maximize the milking of insurance.
If you want to relax at this time - choose another, more civilized country. The Egyptians are inherently not very good people, especially those who work in tourism + their constant military conflicts + heat (aclimatization).

Well, yes, I also felt great pregnant and "suddenly" at 35 weeks I gave birth in 2 hours. Yes, well, these trips for such a period, especially to a foreign country. Do you need such surprises?

Novotel Beach, Novotel Palm meets your needs.

And maybe all the same at such a time, well, him ??? I remember how I wanted both pregnancies in Egi ... But I postponed it. Although everything was fine ... And then, when the baby was a year old, she already flew off! I concluded that it is better to fly at all at 3 months old baby, especially if she is on GV

Good afternoon!
If he thinks that Hilton Long Beach is far away, then what do you advise Makadi, it is even further from Hurghada. I advise you to see Sea Star Beau Rivage. There is a lagoon on the side of the beach, a small reef, you can say there is a reef nearby. The hotel is level, the contingent is mostly Germans. Actually, I was there 3 years ago. Good entrance to the sea in Grand hotels, sand.
Enjoy your holiday if you decide to fly!

We flew to Hurghada (Makadi Bay) for 6 months - everything went perfectly, both the flight and the rest. We tried to be less in the open sun. Before the trip, I consulted with a doctor whether it was possible to fly - to which I received an answer - it is necessary, pregnancy is not a disease. And with a child, they flew to Sharm at 1 year and 10 months - and everything went fine too. But it's up to you to decide.
аватар vNikolaev
Thanks for answers. Our doctor is one of the best in the city, one of these days we will consult with him whether to go or not to go. Who was in Arabia this year, what can you say about him?
аватар PolikSVT
I have not been to Arabia this year, but this is one of my favorite hotels in HURGHADA. For me, the pros: 90% of Germans, an excellent set of beaches, 2 lagoons, your own coral and just go down the stairs, excellent entry into the sea (clean sand), delicious food (albeit a small assortment), almost complete lack of animation, live music.
аватар PolikSVT
At such times, not every airline takes pregnant women on board. Check in advance.
аватар PolikSVT
I would definitely recommend not to go. It's stupid to take that risk.
аватар orhideya21
If you decide to go, check out the Sunrise Gardens and Sunrise Mamluk Sentido hotels. Very good options.
I also support Arabia.

Menavil Hotel Safaga. The old but large sandy beach is a very green area. Near the shore, the coral reef is not very big, but along the sandy beach without a sharp change in the bottom. The beach near the hotel stretches for almost 500 meters.

You are now talking about Hurghada. And I agree with Tana999 - to you - Marsa Alam, Shams Alam hotel - a gentle sandy slope and a beautiful reef. For me, this is the perfect place. Although there are quite a few good hotels in Mars, which I LOVE. The same TTC Fayrouz Plaza, Hilton Dabbab, Gorgonia, TTC Equinox.
аватар Nusia
The hotel is good, but it takes about 6 hours to get to Marsa Alam from the airport by bus, and with a small child it will be very tiring as with a pregnant wife (and leaving my wife at home is also not an option).
аватар vNikolaev
That's why I choose a hotel in Hurghada. By the way, another plus to Arabia is that the hospital is next door, at least some kind of hospital.
аватар ogeras79
Well, it's like anyone. We are now only in Mars. Even with children. It was even such that some were driving a car from Hurghada airport. In general, the road is quite comfortable. We sleep. Turtles, dolphins, sea cow. It's worth it. Well, again, we think so. But, of course, not with a pregnant wife.

I will answer this way: just before NG 2015, I was about the 2nd trimeter of pregnancy at the Hilton. From + for pregnant women - a huge area for walking, there is a gentle entrance to the sea, but I also swam with a mask from the pontoon (I showed the mask of the fish))))) the food is tolerable (no frills, but you can also find a meal), the rooms are spacious ( if it matters).
Regarding the trip of a pregnant woman - this is only with the permission of the doctor! 3 doctors gave me the go-ahead (my gynecologist, uzist and paid gynecologist)
And the fact that they wrote that it’s hard to relax with a small child is also nonsense! We have already gone to the sea with ours (5.5 months), while the child is breastfeeding - there are no problems with him! if only the mother was next to the boob)))) but the mother needs good nutrition - which is not a problem at all inclusive!!!
Have a good rest!
аватар Liudmilka
Yes, I forgot: in the Hilton, not only a beautiful reef, but there is something to see! What's wrong with the reviews? ask questions - I will answer.

I would not recommend Marsa Alam because of the distance from the airport. After 4 hours on the plane, even more than 2 hours by bus is still a pleasure. Makadi is a good option, but the main thing there is not to get into a hotel with a long pontoon. For example, the pontoon recommended in this thread by Stella is 400 meters and a very uncomfortable staircase. It is not clear how the one who advised him imagines the entry into the sea of a heavily pregnant woman there. If your budget allows, consider Premiere Romance at Sahl Hasheesh. Unique boutique hotel, no Tagil, no smokers, no children. I would highly recommend a hotel of the same chain there - Premier Le Rive, but it is even more expensive and there is a 50-meter pontoon and the sea leaves during the day. Look at El Gouna. Closer to Hurghada than Makadi bay. A wonderful place is also the fact that until recently this area was not sold at all to Russian-speaking countries, and some hotels are still not sold. Closed safe area, shallow and hot sea, mostly Germans, French and Italians.

When it comes to pregnancy, check with your doctor. If there are no contraindications - feel free to fly. Charter airlines don't care how far along you are. No one will check this at the landing. The only thing - I would strongly advise you not to get by with the package insurance that comes with the ticket. This is a very weak insurance policy. Call several insurance companies in your city, ask them for prices for advanced insurance for Egypt. Do not regret another 200-300 hryvnias, but you will be armed with a document that will allow you to receive, if necessary, decent medical care.
аватар vNikolaev
Yes, I will look for insurance that suits us. Thanks for answers. Who else was in Arabia, did you like it?
аватар PolikSVT
Look on the Internet for a diagram of numbers. We lived in A176. This is the first floor, direct access to the terrace, through the French balcony, no need to crawl through the numerous corridors. Access directly to the pool and the central beach. Very comfortably. If building B-choose but faith with a view of the lagoon-opened a balcony and the sea) at the reception they don’t understand Russian, I spoke in English. And it’s better in German) or write the room numbers on paper.

Arabia Azur - I haven't heard any negative feedback. Not a very popular hotel for our tourists. Although quality.
Hilton Long Beach - the hotel has no sea (200 m shallow water), not the best options for families without children.
Alternatives:
1.Sunrise Holidays - adults only, there is a gradual sunset and a reef.
2.Mercure Hurghada - and a large territory, and a gradual transition, and corals, and a wild beach, and new rooms, and quality food. No deficiencies found.
Not all airlines accept pregnant women on board.

I want to say one pregnancy is not a disease, yes, but think about what risks you expose your wife and baby + anything can be. Here you worry about fish and hedgehogs and fungus near the pool, and drinking water .. and poisoning .. Give birth to yourself calmly and then fly wherever you want! you need these problems - well if it's good - and if not? you are limited in money. limited in knowledge of the language.. limited in receiving services.. I tell you and all other couples do not fly pregnant .. or even with a runny nose to Egypt and other hot countries, where microbes and bacteria grow like mushrooms in our country in the forest .. I had a practical experience in Uzbekistan, I remember with horror, only I was in a white robe in practice - when an epidemic began there and it was impossible to do an autopsy because it is forbidden by religion .. I suffered such horror that it was a nightmare. they themselves didn’t die there, but it was an alliance and everyone seemed to speak Russian, but they were so hostile that they couldn’t convey, but do you think the Egyptians will treat you better?
