2 times I brought small and beautiful shells twisted like that. Somewhere around 6-7 cm. And also a small dead coral. Do not export live corals. When I passed the control, I looked back at the suitcases that were passing through the video, everything is colored and everything is visible to the smallest detail. I was afraid of course, but my shells probably did not notice. Next time I will not take it out, dumb and scary.

I took out three pieces without hiding them anywhere. the guide just told us about the ban on the export of shells and corals. You will be very lucky if no one notices these corals!!! And if you get some freak-customs officer?! Why do you need such trouble, especially since there is nothing particularly beautiful in dead corals! Better bring some souvenir, for example, a scarab beetle or a cartouche (this is such a very nice pendant made of gold or silver, your name is written on it with Egyptian symbols, it costs $ 10-50, but you definitely can’t buy this anywhere else, only in Egypt .They are sold in Luxor).

And at the next customs office (and there are 3 of them) they stopped me ... and they took the scissors, but they didn’t even pay attention to the shells, of course I was a little shaken, but nothing. Maybe the shells were too small, or the scissors of the customs officers were more interested, not I know. But it's probably better not to risk it. Relax and enjoy.
