I personally have not been, I had a friend there..... She liked it very much, in particular the fact that there is a small private lagoon

I was there ..... well, what can I say. The hotel itself is not bad, built in the national style, in the shape of a horseshoe, the rooms are normal, but when you walk along a long corridor, you may not immediately find your room, large, deep (7m) lagoon, but the beach itself where you can go into the water with your feet is tiny and its old burghers clog from 7 in the morning. they stand very close to each other, and after 5-10 minutes, already in the shade. The territory is very small, you can walk around the entire area in 5 minutes, the animation was, our guys, in general, not bad, it seems there was a disco, but we didn’t go. We settled quickly, the cleaning was lousy, even for 5 tugriks. But the most unpleasant impression was left by food and drinks ... cold sticky pasta and steamed vegetables, and so for 10 days ... one time you could go to Italian and fish restaurant. Alcoholic drinks are all g ... diluted to disgrace.
Tea, coffee bags"Nescafe" and "Lipton", pastry so-so, sometimes better. Meat... it's a rarity and a huge queue. now you can find a better hotel!!! I would not go there again.

thanks for the tips! this hotel is cheaper than others for some reason, about $ 1800-1900, better hotels already from 2200. then maybe you can advise better in this price category?

http://www.turpravda.com/eg/hurgada/Sunny_Days_El_Palacio-h17950.html - 24 reviews.
I will add. The hotel has a good location - between the old and the new city.

I highly recommend these hotels, they cost almost the same as El Palacio, only much better: Albatros Palace, Bel Air Azur and Grand Azur (they are on the same territory, there are 2 more hotels, but those are more expensive) Citadel Azur, Desert Rose, Dana Beach (SUPER!!!), Steidenberger, the one on the 1st line. At the price they are almost the same in Kiev. I don’t know about you. Have a nice rest!

At the expense of disco and animation, I’ll tell you one thing, that in no hotel, Turkey or Egypt, there was such good animation as here. The guys are super.

Listen, where do you find such prices? Today I was offered the same very small hotel for 2960. Well, this is 1000 more expensive. Never in my life did I go at a normal price. vacation in a week. People! Tell me where to get a ticket at a normal price without overpaying - in the area you can 3 thousand.

Steigenberger on the first line at the same price as the Palazzo? Don't make people laugh. Steigen is one of the best and most expensive hotels in Hurghada...

I looked at the website of the travel agency"satellite", and the operator is probably Coral. Pegasus is more expensive, and it does not work with this hotel.

The capital tour has the cheapest prices, 400-500 bucks cheaper than Pegasus

yeah, and about this agency a lot of "pleasant" reviews!

Rested in December 2007 with her boyfriend. I liked it very much. The main thing is that the windows face the lagoon.

my answer is absolutely NO
the hotel is terrible - the rooms are tiny, the furniture is terrible, they brought such a bed to my daughter that it was impossible to even sit on it - it creaked terribly.
about food ..... we tried to eat in the main "restaurant" for 2 days - a nightmare. queues are terrible for lunch and dinner (for dinner, in general, some kind of tin - a crush for some terrible pizza or chicken fried to the hive). Tables are dirty and not enough seats. beach - normal, good lagoon, wild beach, too, nothing, fish, hedgehogs, jellyfish. but there are few sunbeds, not enough for everyone.
I strongly advise against going there, especially with children.
by the way, in Egypt for the 5 * third time and believe me, I am not a pretentious tourist, I always go with a good mood and I will never spoil my vacation myself. but this place is something.
it is contraindicated to go there with children - there is no food there, there are no places either - and I note that I don’t have the habit of coming to the opening for lunch or dinner, or getting up at 7 in the morning to take a sunbed.
but in this "hotel" in the dining room (you can't call it a restaurant) when you don't come - there is always nowhere to sit down and nothing to eat, I'm not talking about the lack of dishes, and on the beach we somehow managed to find one sunbed for four.

And my answer is a resounding "Yes!".
The food is excellent, the rooms are ordinary (in Egypt for the first time, in Turkey there were three times), there are always enough sunbeds, the animation is not bad, everything is at the level ...
:) Puzzled?
That's how we chose the hotel: solid conflicting reviews. Most importantly, we were 100% satisfied with the rest)))
