Which hotel to go with a child in Egypt in February
Good afternoon! We really want to relax for a week with our family (child 3 years old) in February. We decided to go to Egypt (close, warm and not very expensive).
Write, please, who was in Egypt in February? Which hotel to choose (maybe someone was very satisfied)?
It is necessary that there is an entrance to the sea from the shore for the child, it was not very windy. (Maybe in some cove?) The pool is large and heated. Food doesn't matter (you won't please us in Egypt anyway). The hotel is preferably 5 stars. I will be glad to any advice. Thank you.

There are almost 15 thousand reviews of hotels in Egypt on this site, more only about hotels in Turkey (20 thousand). Read, choose. It's here: http://www.turpravda.com/eg/
Start with the TOP 5, maybe that's enough for you.
Have a nice rest!

Check out Al Nabila Grand Bay Hotel, Resort and Spa 5 *, Hurghada - a great windless bay, far from the city, if that matters. Premier Le Reve Hotel & Spa Hurghada is great, but here I have a little doubt about the wind. charm - aqua blue charm 4*, El Fanar beach hotels.

For me, Egi in February is not the best option for relaxing with a child. If you really want to go to Egypt, then the south of Sharm is Albatros Aqua Blu Sharm, Reef Oasis Beach, Iberotel Fanara, Club El Faraana, Grand Hotel Sharm (this is in Ras um el Sid bay), or in Sharm el Maya bay - Iberotel Palace

orhideya21, You probably forgot that the hotel Premier Le Reve does not accept children under 16 years old, and this is a very strict rule, even a teenager of 15 years 11 months old. from birth in the hotel is not populated! But about the Al Nabila Grand Bay Hotel, I completely agree!

Without wind and with a good sandy entry into the sea
see Sea Magic 5* or Guffy 4*
Guffy also has a convenient location
next to Naama Bay
and with a heated pool
these hotels are problematic

I read similar questions and don't understand what people are looking for - a good hotel or a lot of stars?
Or do they sincerely believe that a hotel with 5 stars will be better than with 4, and that they will immediately notice this difference?

Many thanks to everyone for the advice. I will work on all hotels.
Regarding: “I read similar questions and don’t understand what people are looking for - a good hotel or a lot of stars?
Or do they sincerely believe that a hotel with 5 stars will be better than with 4, and that they will immediately notice this difference?" I don’t understand what this has to do with the topic under discussion! But if you have already touched on the topic: 5 or 4 stars Then, my subjective opinion, Egypt is a country where the difference is really felt (I don’t really like 5 stars either).
аватар Dreamer_0x01
So I'm telling you about that and that 5 stars is not an indicator. A four can be better than a five.
After all, their differences are minimal - this is the area of rooms, bathrooms, the number of bars, the size of the halls and other formalities. But in this system there is not a word about how the staff should serve customers and things like that. Stars are just window dressing, which does not mean quality.
аватар NataliiaA
If you were not talking about Egypt, then I would agree with you. But each person perceives everything differently. I, as I wrote already above, see the differences and they are significant for me.
I just don't understand what all these arguments are about. The question was about the weather in February and about the region and the name! hotel.
Unless, you are the owner of a 4-star hotel.
аватар Dreamer_0x01
No. It's just that I would advise you the same Pharaana, it is protected from the wind by a bay and a high coast, but it is 4 stars and probably just because of this it will not work for you;)
"If you weren't talking about Egypt"
What's the difference? It's even easier for them to get stars, because they don't care..

Do you mean Club El Faraana? Good pictures and reviews. Have you been there in February?
аватар Dreamer_0x01
Yes, Club El Faraan King Sneferu, something like that he was called.
I wasn’t in February, I was at the end of November - there was wind everywhere, in the place where Faraana, the neighboring Oasis Reef (by the way, it’s five stars, look at it) and Phanara were calm and swam every day, although it was unclear for several days.
According to Faraan - in fact, the hotel is not the best, there were also disadvantages, in particular, the staff is impudent and it is also a club Italian hotel, you can probably imagine what this means;), but for Sharm, it’s probably a good option (I haven’t been to Sharm for a long time , moved to Marsa Alam).
Of the pluses - this is the location, the presence of a house reef, good breakfasts and dinners.
Look at the neighboring Reef Oasis, it is located in the same place.
аватар NataliiaA
Thank you, Reef-Oasis was already advised to me and I watched it. According to the pictures and reviews, very, very much.
According to Faraan - I liked him too. Especially, having a weakness for swimming pools, with an artificial wave. It is interesting that it will work in winter? Did he work when you rested?
The shore on the beach, as I understand it, is wonderful in both hotels?
And yet, pardon my curiosity, but what kind of place is Mars Alam? And what is so special about it that you preferred it?
аватар Dreamer_0x01
The artificial wave worked in my presence. As for February, it is better to specify a separate topic.
Beach on the beach .. Yes, as everywhere in Egypt. Sand, then a strip of calcareous residues, then a shallow reef and a slope in depth. There is a passage in Faraan, through it you can go from the shore along the sand and swim to the "big water", the depth above the reef in the passage in the "bottleneck" is about 60-70 centimeters.
The people on the beach were about the same, that is, a lot. By the way, one of the features - you had to first go to the beach and throw things on the sunbed before the arrival of the Italians, and only then for breakfast, otherwise then the places got only at the fence.
Marsa Alam is a resort in the south of Egypt, probably 200-300 kilometers from Hurghada ..
What I like there is that there is almost no resort town as such, many hotels stand right in the desert on the seashore and there may be no civilization for 30 kilometers to the left and right of the hotel, or even more. This is very important for me, since there are fewer people there (you can see a photo from Fantasia in my profile), and the reefs there are less worn by tourists and better preserved (and I go to the Red Sea for the underwater world and a relaxing holiday). After Marsa, I somehow don’t want to go to Sharm ..

Yes, you see how you write from pictures and reviews everywhere. But pictures can be good advertising material made by professionals, and reviews are usually written on personal perception, which is different for everyone. In this regard, it is much more efficient to ask yourself about specific hotels in accordance with your wishes. Since what is discussed in the reviews and because of which the hotel was rated, it may not be important for you at all.

I’m sorry, I deceived you about the profile photo - I remembered that I didn’t post them here, but on Google - here:
https://picasaweb.google.com/103941574205474181788/2010#
There, in the middle and at the end of the album, there are views of the beach in Marsa Alam.
аватар NataliiaA
Thank you very much for the answer.
I'll definitely check out the link. And I'll read about Mars Alam when I find the time. If, as you say, there is a desert, then there must be a strong wind and you can’t go in February? Also, how do you get there, is there a direct plane?
The fact is that I understand you very much, we ourselves do not like civilization very much, because. we get tired of it the rest of the time. A relaxing holiday for us is the main goal, and of course the sea.

"If, as you say, there is a desert, then there must be a strong wind and you can't go in February?"
In general, yes. True, as an exception, there are hotels with bays, for example Braika Bay, or a family of hotels near the Iberotel-Koraya, during a storm there is shelter from the waves, but I can’t say anything about February, is it good or not, it’s better to ask someone else .
I got from Hurghada by minibus, and from the local airport. Not all operators and not all cities have flights to the local airport, but with the coup in the country, they were completely canceled, in my opinion, and until everything settled down there, it’s somehow disturbing to go to completely wild areas, here I am sitting I look forward to the next time I go to Mars ;)
I have just two reviews on Marsa Alam in my profile - from Braika and Fantasia, read it, maybe you will be interested in the fall.

dear author, how did you rest and which hotel did you choose?
аватар NataliiaA
Good evening! We chose Reef Oasis Beach. We rested well. If you have nothing against Egypt, you can go. There was almost no wind, the area is wonderful, the sea is warm, but sometimes we preferred a pool with 30 degrees. There are 3 jacuzzis for very small (or amateurs) almost on the beach. The weather was good.
