Our booking was confirmed almost immediately, and the booking of friends was waiting for more than a day - the tour operator said that the hotel did not give confirmation for a long time.
Having read about overbooking, I decided to write to the hotel myself (in 2 languages) with a request to confirm the reservation for specific tourists, i.e. us - more than three days have passed - the hotel is silent (((
Please tell me - maybe I screwed myself up, and just hope that everything will be fine, because December is no longer the high season. Or repeat request? Has anyone responded to something like this?
We just really want to get to this hotel and friends fly for the first time, they are very nervous ..

I won’t sin on them, but logically, you book a hotel long before arrival, so there shouldn’t be any problems with the hotel in principle. But if the tour operator is in no hurry, then at the last moment they start to itch, then there may simply be no places in the hotel. Or this hotel is temporarily closed and you are moved to another hotel. In order not to lose you as a client, the operator simply does not inform you about it! In general, constantly pull those through whom you bought a ticket, and everything should be fine. Personally, in a week I myself am flying with my wife and a one-year-old child to Hurghada, to Steigenberger 5 *, one of the best hotels in the city. I paid 111000. I took it through Coral. I took it, went to the hotel website, wrote information that I would arrive on the 12th, I ask for a room on the top floor, a shared bed and a baby cot. A day later, the hotel manager sent me an email that the room was booked. So I am calm and have no doubt that I will be unexpectedly relocated to a nearby 4 * hotel! Fuck travel agency!

In general, I have long vowed not to fly through the annex and other dubious tour operators. They try to bring down the price, but usually at the expense of customers. Usually I choose a hotel, dates, look at the price from the most important operators for this hotel, and then I go around the city and ask for the maximum discount. For example, Coral has an official price of 111,000 for your hotel. But we were given a 7% discount and it turned out something like 104,000. I, my wife and a 12-month-old child (free of charge, only infant flight) are going for 14 nights / 15 days. They could take it through Sanmar, it turned out even 109000, but I didn’t like that I was flying with Ural Airlines, and at Coral Transaero. Maybe I was playing it safe, but I think that reliability and nerves in flights are much more expensive than 2000, which I overpaid. So it is better to choose the most reputable operators. Everyone has shoals, the only question is their quantity and quality! ))

In different TAs I have a different discount - from 10 to 12%. Depending on what kind of maintenance I’m flying with (the agency discount plays a role). And about the shoals, you yourself said that everyone has them. And Sanmar, so you know, is Coral's "daughter", and they have one owner!

To date, Anex has the most convenient flights, low prices, an agreement with a decent airline (although, by the way, I always regret that it’s not with Ural Airlines!) , often, the aero aorta of departure or just a delay in arrival is to blame (in October, they flew to Turkey for 5.5 hours, all in all 4-15!) Even if you write to the hotel your wishes for accommodation, they can politely answer like "we are glad to see you in our hotel, we will try to take into account all your wishes upon arrival at the hotel", but, as a rule, this is only a standard answer, they will settle anyway availability (not just words, personal experience).
