Savoy is not very cheap but VERY decent hotel.
We were in SeaLife in Sharm at the end of April-beginning of May. Not a bad hotel, average for the price with a very beautiful reef and fish. But to go to the reef by sea 100 meters (at least), there is the same long pontoon. I am also a beginner diver, but I had no problems there. Just better to take a mask and fins with you.

Just like Sunrise and Concorde are not the cheapest hotels for a long time. You can see Coral Beach Tiran - this is a good 4 * on the first line, you can also consider Dreams Beach and Dreams Vacation options.
