Do I need to be vaccinated against malaria before traveling to Egypt?
I read that Egypt is on the list of malaria-affected countries, that is, with a mosquito bite, you can become infected with tropical malaria. Do I need to get vaccinated or take special medications before/during/after the trip? Or are there other vaccinations needed?

It is NOT necessary to vaccinate.
If you have never, for so many years .... no one has become infected (Egypt), then this certainly does not threaten you.

In my opinion, only the inhabitants of the deep sea pose a danger there. You will not walk in the swamps of the Nile, where crocodiles are found? :)

Do not trust dubious sources of information, especially TV and newspapers. Journalists love to make an elephant out of a fly. Maybe someone got sick, it is not excluded. And the swine flu epidemic was so publicized, and who remembers about it now? And about atypical pneumonia, which a few years ago was almost called the plague of the 21st century ...
You are doing the right thing by asking on the forums those people who were there themselves and saw everything.
I confirm that for three years I have not heard about the facts of infection with malaria by one of my acquaintances-acquaintances-acquaintances;)
But the same E. coli is much more likely to pick up there. So don't be afraid, wash your hands before eating and practice good hygiene and you will have a wonderful holiday.

If you are so afraid of getting infected with something, it is better to get vaccinated INSTEAD of traveling and stay at home!

Get out of the general rainbow tone. There are cases of malaria in both Sharm and Hurghada. Let them be few, but ...
Vaccination is useless, it simply does not exist. And I would not drink a preventive medicine, which, only in a larger dose, treats malaria itself.
Just going to bed, kill all the mosquitoes in the room, if any. Newspaper.

This is your personal business. There is no great meaning. I join the answers about observing the elementary requirements of personal hygiene, use only drinking water (it’s not a sin to brush your teeth), and take fumitox to fight mosquitoes.

I personally have been to Egypt 5 times, I have never had any vaccinations, it’s really not a sin to take a linex-type stomach remedy with me, local cuisine, for those who are not used to it, may seem quite specific, and of course SPF-50 sunscreen and slippers for corals!!! Have a nice holiday!!

I was in Egypt 4 times, I didn’t see mosquitoes at all, but there are flies, but they are effectively fought
