Who was in Hurghada at the end of June?
We are going to Hurghada at the end of June. Share your impressions, who was there at that time. Is it worth it to go on an excursion to Luxor in such heat?

I wouldn't go, it's even hotter in Luxor.
And if you dare, stock up on water.
This heat is more easily transferred to the sea, when you can always take a dip. For swimming, I recommend buying a cotton shirt with long sleeves - you won’t burn yourself in the sea, and you will have time to run to the umbrella.

Yes, it's ok at the end of June. We vacationed last year. The wind is constantly blowing, so the heat is easily tolerated. And it’s really better not to go to Luxor - our friends went there, they returned a little alive. And as for "burning" - do not get carried away with a tan "in Russian": the whole day belly up on the beach, it's better from morning to 11 o'clock and in the evening after 16 - and everything will be fine (by the way, aloe oil, which you can buy at any local store)

Information from different sites is different:
t in the afternoon +35+37
t at night +23+25
water t +24+26
But the sea is nearby, and as was said above: the wind is constantly blowing, so the heat will not be too tiring.

What excursions will be easy to visit in June? Does it get much hotter towards the end of June compared to the beginning of the month?

Actually, for me it’s already incredibly hot there in June. The wind blows, but it’s 35 degrees in it!
I would take a boat trip and never go anywhere else.

We were last year end of June/beginning of July. Tolerable. Due to the wind, the heat is transferred much more easily. Go don't be afraid!

Thanks for the answers, but my friends who travel 2-3 times a year to Egypt intimidated me so that I want to abandon the tour.

Don't give up!!! The temperature of water and air, which hessen brought, we had on vacation in Hurghada in the first half of June. We rested with a child (3 years old) and mother (60 years old) - everything is fine. The Egyptian heat is really very easy to bear, for several days there was even a very cool breeze. If it’s reasonable to be in the sun, swim with a mask in a T-shirt or shirt (because when you see this beauty you don’t notice time and don’t control yourself), use sunscreen, then everything will be fine. Before the trip, I was also very afraid of this heat, but it turned out there was nothing to be afraid of. We went by bus to Luxor, it was not hard at all. Have a nice rest.

If acquaintances whom you trust and who have experienced the delights of "not heat" in June do not recommend you go, you should listen to their opinion. In general, this is all very individual - everyone has their own threshold for tolerance to heat. For me, June-early September - taboo to visit Yegi. I'm VERY hot.
I walk from the lounger in a long-sleeved shirt to the water and I feel that another moment, and that's it, my consciousness will leave me. But the water saves. It was the beginning of June.

it was very hot for me in mid-May, although I can easily endure the heat at sea - you still go in a bathing suit and are constantly wet - not like in the city .... locals also complain about the heat, especially in August, but this time, if we’ll risk going in June for comparison - in life you need to try everything, and if there are many pools on the territory, it’s easier to walk to the sea, having previously plunged into them

Yes, the fact is that we went to Sharm in early September, everyone endured the heat very easily, and if I knew that it would be the same at the end of June, I didn’t even think: I would definitely go. And until the end of June, the hotel is on the foot.

So maybe it makes sense to look for another hotel, and go before June, in May?
аватар Zlata28
Yes, it's really hot in Egypt at this time.
but thanks to the dry climate, even the most sultry heat
much easier to carry than in the Crimea or Turkey
