We went to Starlight, also not a very cheap hotel, we gave 180 thousand from Intourist for 12 nights, yes there was food, a lot, but it was the same every day.
Vegetables, ate only tomato and cucumber, fruits (bananas, apples), the usual side dishes, mashed potatoes, french fries.
Pasta in different variations, buckwheat.
Salads, cheese, cuts of all sorts.
Is this all missing in Egypt? I don’t believe it, I just looked at Nubian, the food of choice is no worse than Turkey (even in Turkey there was no seafood, so you can’t even call a shrimp in a salad) in Nubian even small crabs are served.
Beer in Turkey is the usual Ephesus, local alcohol is also poured into cocktails. The only quality of the food, yes it was better. My husband has a weak gastrointestinal tract; in a panic, I brought pills from all the charm of the mountain with me, and took it all home)
