how hard (or not) is the heat in egypt in july?
We were the first time in Egypt in March, in Sharm, everything is very worthy, we would like to repeat the trip, but already in the middle of summer (vacation). Talk about the unbearable heat there at that time is frightening. I would like to hear the opinions of lovers of summer Egypt.

I answer! We were at the beginning of August 2009 in charm. I’ll write when it was significantly hot: upon arrival at the airport, we didn’t go into the building for 5 minutes, from 12-15 in the afternoon on the territory of the hotel (although no one walks at that time), excursions in open spaces (pyramids) I DONT REMEMBER THE OTHER !!! in the morning there was even a breeze on the beach, the water at 08 in the morning was cool (my feelings, I'm thermophilic) at 11 we went to the hotel pool and bar, in restaurants - air-conditioners froze their heads! ))) took a shower in the room and went to eat, after dinner they went to the room and slept for 1-1.5 hours. went to bed late at night. In the rooms, too, the condo min rate could be set to +16. Evenings are very warm, but not suffocating. At night, swimming in the pool and the sea is not allowed. I think I can help you imagine. I would not hesitate to go again in August, although many (Russians) imagine the deadly heat. But the Italians go in August and somehow do not complain. So everything will be GOOD!!! But bring panamas.

I'll also add:
get up early in the morning (towels are issued from 08.00 and there are plenty of free sunbeds)
if you go snorkeling from a yacht, many swim on the surface of the water in T-shirts, we didn’t know this and our legs got a little burnt

T-shirts - maxi to protect legs from burning!
New 2010 snorkel fashion! ))))))))))

and why not :)) ha ha ha I only offer t-shirts and leggings! Fish are fine!

I swim in a long-sleeved cotton shirt, bought there for about $ 4. Swimming is fine, but when you get out of the water. also good, not so hot. And August is still hot for me.

""But take panama hats" - yes, without panama hats, rest down the drain. It's all about a protected head.
аватар Kasja23
You can agree with T-shirts - leggings. And panama - in the water, too, to wear?
аватар papa74
""And panama hats - to wear in the water too?""-if the head is bald, then it is necessary ... (a bandana is possible, for the swimmer's streamlining)

It's funny to some, but my husband had a short haircut, and it was his head that got burned. I had to peel off the burnt scalp with whole cakes somewhere on the 7th day (not very pleasant, regrown hair interferes).
Now the bandana knits necessarily, and covers the shoulders.
We are heat-loving, and did not feel much heat, and slept in the afternoon. In Egypt, the air is dry and it is easy to breathe, the main thing is to cover your body, sunbathe carefully and use a burn cream with a protection factor of 25-30. If the factor is 50, then there will be no tan.

don’t worry about the heat. in Egypt it is very easy to tolerate. we were in July and everyone endured the heat easier than in Turkey. although we were also very worried whether to fly in the summer or not.

We rested in Egypt last year from 20 June to 02 July. The temperature was +30 and an increase of +1 degree every day. On the last day it was +40.
In the evening, the heat is felt. At +40 it is not comfortable to have dinner in the fresh air, I had to go under the air conditioner to the restaurant. At night it is not stuffy in the room under the air conditioner. )) I love the heat and in June it's great, and in July - for an amateur. It's hot during the day, the sea saves.

Thanks everyone for the comments! Usually we have a rest in Turkey, less often in Greece in the middle of summer. During the day, we also went to the room, rested from the heat. In the evenings in Kemer it was very hot and hard ... the heat did not subside even at night. :) But according to your feedback, I realized that the same air temperature in Egypt is easier to bear than in Turkey. This gives me hope! :) Once again, thanks for the help!

Here are a couple more facts for you: usually, in the heat, I can’t wear shoes made of artificial leather (tert), I took flip flops. just walk from the hotel to the beach. So that's how it turned out (I'm SHOCKED) in Egypt in August, neither the legs nor the body sweat is nonsense! So it went on for 12 days everywhere in these flip flops, even flew home in them. :)

Were the end of June-beginning of July in Hurghada. Due to the fact that Hurghada is a more windy resort compared to Sharm, the heat is tolerated there more easily.

it is really hot in egypt in july
but this is a completely different heat than in Turkey or in the Crimea
In Egypt, due to the dry climate,
the heat is much easier to bear and there is no stuffiness
which makes it impossible to breathe
just dry warm air

In Egypt, the heat is much easier to tolerate than in Turkey. Turkey has a lot of moisture
and in Egypt in July it is normally tolerated, there is dry air.
so go and don't worry about the heat)
