Is this a question or a thought?
аватар moy_contakt
I rebooked for September, but now no one will tell you anything about insurance, because the tourist receives a package of documents before departure. In our case, when no one has yet flown anywhere at all, it’s difficult to talk about anything, because they are still being decided and refined, and more than once all the moments of crossing the borders of different states will change. We will find out about this when the borders open. There is an option to call the insurance company with which the TO with which you booked the tour works. BUT I don't think they'll tell you anything there either.
аватар Igor_m
My insurance company (second place in the ranking of Ukraine) does not insure against infection with coronavirus and the consequences of the disease.

We booked a tour for October. There is insurance against coronavirus, it costs $26 for the entire tour. I know that now the conditions for Belarus are very loyal.
аватар mindguru
moy_contakt, you agree on the list and composition of documents when paying for the tour, and before departure you receive only tickets and insurance.
аватар moy_contakt
Dear mindguru! In a normal situation, yes, everything in advance. But when I coordinated my conditions and docks, we did not hear about carona. I booked Spain in September 2019, Egypt in December and January ...... We are now talking about the situation that has developed at this point in time. and so far it is not clear on what conditions the border crossing will be, etc. about the final docks that will be included in the package, one can only guess. Believe me, a lot of things that are unexpected and not agreed with you can be added there now.

Hello Igor!
I wonder what it looks like now? Any infectious diseases also fall into the standard conditions of travel insurance. Do they write "except covid-19" or what? :)
аватар Igor_m
Pachok, in May, applied for a clear “auto-citizenship” and simply asked if it was possible to “insure” against COVID - it’s impossible until there are treatments and vaccines approved by WHO. The same applies to HIV infection. . But, it was in early May and according to the insurance agent. What has changed - I can find out, but again in words. On the websites of insurance companies, everything is very "cloudy" - we insure, but within the amount of the insurance policy, and if a tourist becomes infected in a country where the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry does not advise to go, then there will be no payments.
I will definitely not go anywhere abroad this year - it's a big risk, and no insurance will help. I will rent a house in Transcarpathia for a month, I will take my wife and granddaughters there. Maybe I'll ride through Hungary or Slovakia at the same time, but for one day, no more. Something tells me that in five to ten days the number of cases may increase.

moy_contakt, With a fixed cost of the tour, can they cram anything they want? Indeed???
аватар moy_contakt
Indeed. For example, if at some point new conditions for crossing the border appear in any of the countries, you have already bought a tour, and you will be told that, for example, there are mandatory conditions for fulfillment upon arrival or upon return. All of this may well be the case in our corona situation.
аватар Marsyanchik
Coronavirus and HIV are two different things. HIV does not require urgent hospitalization and immediate treatment, and it is not transmitted by airborne droplets, like many other viruses. But if you get infected with the corona, you will have to be treated on the spot. And there is no insurance. I wouldn't be surprised if corona insurance becomes a requirement when entering other countries.
аватар Igor_m
moy_contakt , and maybe on arrival and on return. A month of additional "vacation". And how will the employer look at it? This is not sick leave, this is absenteeism, if you do not bring a certificate, or even two. You can go on describing the risks for a long time, there are many of them. And does their week's stay in the best hotel outweigh them? Everyone must answer this question for himself, and bear the responsibility himself.
аватар moy_contakt
Igor_m what you write is not quite on the topic of discussion by me and mindguru. mindguru believes that with a fixed cost of the tour, all the docks are already presented and everyone is familiar with them. And I argue that in this situation, various unexpected documents may appear in the package of docks, as many points are still in the process of discussions and decisions and it is still not clear how and where it will be - with or without tests, with or without a health passport, with mandatory observation or without, etc.
аватар Igor_m
Marsyanchik, do you happen to know how COVID 19 is treated "on the spot" or anywhere else? Rhetorical question, sorry. There is no cure, unfortunately.
аватар Igor_m
Everyone, shut up, keep quiet.
аватар zolyshka111
Igor_m, not a single viral disease, I think, is insured. Although, of course, I could be wrong. I wonder who flew to countries where Ebola is raging, insured against it?
аватар mindguru
The very principle of insurance is not clear. If I get infected with coronovirus, then what? Insurance payments posthumously or reimbursement of the cost of mechanical ventilation?
moy_contakt, it is clear that the conditions for crossing the border may change. They may stupidly not let you into Israel, for example. You paid for a two-day tour, but they didn't let you in at the border. A common thing, by the way. Nevertheless, this does not affect the cost of the tour in any way.
аватар Pachok
Igor_m, probably, those procedures that are carried out with seriously ill patients can be called treatment. Heparin, oxygen, antibiotics if necessary, resuscitation. Yes, and hospital stay, too, must be paid. Dengue, Coxsackie - everything is covered by the usual insurances, is included in the infectious diseases section and is not mentioned separately. Supportive treatment, symptomatic treatment - antipyretics, droppers for dehydration, doctor's visits to the hotel or hospitalization are paid.
аватар Pachok
mindguru, a couple of especially gifted banks sent me ads offering to insure against the coronavirus. It sounded like this - a one-time payment of UAH 3,000 in case of a positive test result from a state laboratory, plus UAH 300 per day in case of hospitalization. And something there in case of death, I no longer read.
If your question is about travel insurance, then we are talking about covering medical expenses (doctor's call, hospitalization, medicines) and transportation of the body to your homeland in case of death, this has always been written in insurance anyway.
аватар moy_contakt
mindguru I wrote somewhere about changes in the cost of the tour??? I wrote exclusively about possible paper changes in the rules for crossing the border, insurance, and so on. The price doesn't change, that's a fact.
аватар mindguru
moy_contakt, you really did not write anywhere about the cost of the tour. It was I who mistakenly interpreted your words that anything can be stuffed into a purchased tour package. Who exactly can cram and how do the conditions for crossing borders depend on the specific travel agent from whom you bought the tour?
Pachok, my question is not about insurance. By the way, why did the offer to insure come from the bank? As far as I know, banks are not yet engaged in insurance. At least in our country.
аватар moy_contakt
Dear mindguru, you are clearly not in the subject. The client signs an agreement not with a travel agent, but with a TO, where the TA acts as an intermediary between the TO and the tourist. Therefore, the contract includes standard clauses on the rights and obligations of the parties, but if there are moments that have arisen in connection with covid-19, they can be added (I think a separate dock, because the contract is standard)
аватар mindguru
my_contakt, of course, I'm off topic. Just passed by.
Does the client sign a contract not with a travel agent? When did you read the last contract? Who signed? Probably the representative of the tour operator. Which is called a travel agent, because as a rule it is a separate legal entity. And you pay money to a travel agent, and sign an agreement with a travel agent. So no need to breed here.
Regarding the coronovirus. I insisted and continue to insist that no changes to the contract signed by you can be made without your at least notice, at the maximum consent. Therefore, apart from the standard clauses on the rights and obligations of the parties, there is nothing there and cannot be. You yourself are talking about an additional contract.
However, you didn't answer my question. Here he is:
Who exactly can cram and how do the conditions for crossing borders depend on the specific travel agent from whom you bought the tour?
аватар Pachok
Well, banks have long offered and "gifted" insurance when opening deposits or other not-so-small transactions. They are not insurers, of course, but partners.
Here is an example from the coronavirus:

mindguru you obviously haven't visited TA for a long time. A standard maintenance agreement is signed with a tourist represented by a TA representative. Naturally, when additional conditions arise, the tourist is faced with a fact and a choice, the tourist, in general, has little choice. Who and what will contribute, well, of course, not TA. If some points or restrictions are introduced, then they will somehow be brought up. How exactly-........ but we will know about it after the fact.
аватар Tana999
iren77 and which company insures against coronovirus? what is written in your insurance - treatment is covered? as far as I know in all insurance pandemic is an exception.
аватар Tana999
zolyshka111 viral diseases are insured. The same flu is covered by insurance companies. Exceptions are epidemics and pandemics
аватар zolyshka111
Tana999, it means that until the pandemic ends, there will be no insurance against covid. Basically logical.
аватар mindguru
moy_contakt, last visited a travel agency in January of this year. I can take a photo of the captions if you tell me how to insert a photo here.
You never answered my question: obviously there is no answer.
Zolyshka111, It would be logical from the point of view of logic. From a business standpoint, it's a shame to miss out on such a fabulous opportunity. Here, to the heap - branded "medical" masks and key chains that need to be worn "from the coronovirus".
аватар moy_contakt
mindguru, only TO can add anything to the package of documents between the TO and the tourist based on the requirements that can be set by 3 persons that are binding and without them, for example, the tourist’s trip will not take place.
At the expense of the contract (who concludes it with whom), perhaps you are not competent in this matter and this is normal for a person - a consumer of a tourist product who does not delve into the details of the preparation of this document. I, as a person who knows this topic thoroughly (my education, work in different periods of my life were connected precisely with the preparation and conclusion of complex financial contracts), I tell you again that when you come to TA, you conclude an agreement with TO through a third party (TA).
