year as we are going to Marsa Alam. Saw that the operators removed direct flights. Several times I was in Sharm, several in Hurghada and even in Safaga. I want something new, namely Marsa Alam (because the underwater world is a priority). but now confused...

By plane to Hurghada, from there by bus about 3 hours.
So far, nothing has been heard about direct flights.

Indeed by plane to Hurghada. And there, depending on the hotel - from 3 to 5 hours. But in a comfortable bus, it’s not stressful at all. You can read on a tablet or watch a movie. There will be a restroom stop along the way. Have you already decided on a hotel?

So yes, it’s standardly driven to the port of Khalib for about 3 hours (included half an hour of a coffee house on the outskirts of El Quseira)
If the hotel is further than the port, estimate offhand to the Hilton for about 40 minutes, and add two hours to Shams.
Based on the location of the selected hotel, you can increase the transfer time.

We fell in love with Marsu Alam!) We flew a year ago from Zhulyan to Marsa. Rested from 24 to 04 April. We decided - what are those distances to us? but they were wrong...
It's tedious to get to. We flew from Boryspil at 3 am to Hurghada with Mau. Flight, pass control (with a visa), pick up luggage, put all the tourists on the bus. Heat, dust, desert, and in the bus the air conditioner blows so hard, even wear a fur coat. And then go more than 4 hours, plus drop off and resettle all tourists in hotels. The first day fell due to fatigue. In short, our tourist does not reach that far.
This is a plus, of course, there are no tourists taking from "all inclusive" in full!)))
But it's up to you, the sea and holidays on Mars are fabulous!) Good luck.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I haven’t chosen a hotel yet, but from the reviews I realized that I need something in Port Ghalib, because the underwater world is brighter there.
I think that most likely the bus transfer still lasts more than 4 hours (I remember we drove to Safaga for 1.5 hours, and if you look at the map, then Mars is 3 times further)
I'm hunting in the first line for an interesting sea, and now I need to find an alternative to Marsa Alam. Can someone suggest something similar?
and if I don’t find it, then of course I’ll have to watch movies for 5 hours)))

Yes, Port Ghalib or one of the hotels near Abu Dabab Bay, you can't go wrong.
There are hotels with good reefs in Sharm. These topics have already been raised many times. Pomonitorte and ace will find.
