Money transfer from Egypt to Russia (Ukraine)
EgyptCairo
How to transfer money from Egypt to Russia (Ukraine) with a minimum commission, cash is not suitable?
I think in the direction of SWIFT transfers, but I don’t know if it is possible to make a transfer to one name (for example, I opened an account in an Egyptian bank and in a Ukrainian bank), in Ukraine it is impossible to transfer to one name.
Or I come to the cash desk of the Egyptian Bank and give the details for the transfer to the Ukrainian Bank.
Western and manigram are not suitable, big commission.....

There will also be a commission for transferring money, and for opening two accounts. And, yes, according to the laws of Ukraine, you cannot just open an account abroad (officially). It is necessary to report to the tax office about "currency values abroad." No one can check this if you simply own an account there, but if money comes from it to a Ukrainian bank, there may be questions.

So what to do, carry cash?
аватар orbittours.ru
we do this: open an account in an Egyptian bank and get 2 cards. give one to Ukraine. you do the same in Ukraine. as a result, the commission will be reduced only for cashing out money (for paying with a card for purchases, the commission is small, in fact, the cross rate). choose the bank where it is the smallest. but in order to open an account in Egypt you need to have a residence visa)))

Thanks for the reply, I understand...
But, the disadvantage of this method is that in Egypt, for example, you get dollars, and in Ukraine you get hryvnias at an ATM, but I would like dollars ...
Yes, and in Ukraine there should be someone who will go and cash out ...,
I would like to do everything myself and through the Internet ...
Could you advise the Egyptian bank, from English. Internet banking... I will have a work visa, and the employer will open a bank account... but this bank may not be optimal...

If you open a foreign currency account in Egypt, then you can also withdraw dollars in a Ukrainian bank. But as far as I remember, foreign currency accounts are not opened for foreigners, and a considerable amount is needed to open an account.
аватар orbittours.ru
Pay for everything in Ukraine with an Egyptian card, and then you don’t even need a currency.

Which Egyptian bank do you use?
аватар oleksandr_ua
The article http://egyptswiss.com/articles/detail.php?id=651 says to open an account you need a visa for at least 6 months. This is true?
What are the conditions for opening an account in an Egyptian bank?

interesting article
http://ftbn.com/2013/02/26/shkola-investora-kak-legalno-vyivesti-vyivezti-dengi-iz-ukra inyi/
especially the comments...
there are such:
Precautionary rules: a) do not disclose information about the presence of an account abroad; b) do not correspond the account with Ukraine (that is, do not transfer wire transfer) to and from there; c) if someone is paranoid, you can also not use the card of a foreign bank in Ukraine, but IMHO this is superfluous. Enough a) and b), point c) - rather for safety net.
interesting in Ukraine may be interested in the Egyptian bank card???

In Ukraine, now many banks have made a number of restrictions in their ATMs, issuing a banknote no more than 2000 hryvnia per day (~ $ 170), many ATMs accept only cards of their own bank (it immediately spits out someone else's) ... it turns out that if I need to withdraw, for example, $ 10,000 in Ukraine through an ATM, then I need to make 10,000/165=60 successful withdrawals from an ATM ... , and such an ATM needs to be found
аватар Pachok
What 10000??? Now even deposits are returned with a limit of no more than 15,000 UAH. per day, i.e. 1250 dollars.
аватар orbittours.ru
yes, the visa must be at least six months, it is called a residence))))
аватар Veter_Peremen
Depends on the amount.
If it is not very big - look on the Internet moneybookers (Skrill). This is a payment system. The commission there is minimal. Money can be credited from a bank card and then withdrawn to an account. The card must first be verified, but this is not difficult.
About the mandatory presence of a visa for at least 6 months to open an account - FALSE! For many banks - yes, it is needed. But not for everyone. Go to a bank branch and ask. Don't call, just come in. Egypt is a total mess. And it's one thing - the official rules, another - the decision of a particular manager in a particular department. This, of course, applies only to not very large banks.
For example, I do not have any resident visa. And there are accounts (with cards). Try contacting the following banks:
Housing & Development
Alexbank
Arab bank.
Good luck!
аватар oleksandr_ua
Thanks for the answer, I didn’t work with moneybookers (Skrill), but it’s rather problematic to cash out using links on the Internet in Ukraine (through which bank you cash out) ...
http://enciclopudia.ru/platezhnaya-sistema-moneybookers-v-ukraine/
In the banks you mentioned... Internet banking in English?
аватар Veter_Peremen
Oleksandr, not really.
The scheme of work is as follows:
1) You open an account in an Egyptian bank
2) You receive a card to this account (or better, several)
3) Register with Skrill
4) Verify your card in Skrill
5) From the Skrill system itself, replenish your Skrill account using a card
6) Then, again, from Skrill, you make a transfer to your account in a Ukrainian bank.
That is, you do not need to cash out Skrill in Ukraine - just withdraw money from your Ukrainian account in the usual way.
This scheme is convenient if you need to transfer small amounts periodically.
But you can make a transfer directly from your account from an Egyptian bank. Although I will say right away - it is sooooo problematic. Here is a complete mess. The Egyptians do not obey the international rules of banking settlements (or they simply do not know what it is at all). For example, if you want to transfer money from an Egyptian account that is opened in pounds - when you come to the bank to submit an application, you will find that "NO". After all, in fact, you will provide details (with SWIFT codes, etc.) of the correspondent bank in which your Ukrainian bank has an account. That is, the money must first fall on the correspondent account of your Ukrainian
аватар oleksandr_ua
as I understand it, not every Ukrainian bank will accept a transfer from Skrill .....
SWIFT is no longer available. a Ukrainian cannot have accounts abroad .... if there are accounts, it is better not to show them ...
аватар Veter_Peremen
bank, and then to your personal account within it. And your bank has a correspondent account opened in dollars. And the Egyptian bank sheep will tell you that you cannot transfer money from an account in pounds to an account in dollars. It's just that they have such a limitation here. This restriction was introduced after the revolution to prevent people from quickly withdrawing their money from the country. It is very problematic to exchange pounds, for example, for dollars. Only on the black market at an overvalued rate. But I think you know about it. That is, from all sorts of Mahmouds they will call different Ahmeds in an Egyptian bank and eventually tell you that you can transfer your money anywhere, but in a pound account - only to a pound one. At the same time, apparently, they are completely unaware that a correspondent account with a foreign bank cannot be opened in Egyptian pounds, because no one needs their candy wrappers. Unfortunately, tested on myself (((
Hence the advice: if you need to transfer large amounts and there is a currency, then immediately open a foreign currency account in an Egyptian bank. You can transfer money from it abroad. At least theoretically. Regular SWIFT transfer upon request.
But: not all Egyptian banks will provide you with such a service.
For example, in Housing&Development
аватар Veter_Peremen
declare that they do not make such translations.
But they do it in Alexbank. The transfer amount per day should not exceed the equivalent of 10,000 local candy wrappers.
I read your comment ... Yeah, it's difficult now in Ukraine (((
But what about Webmoney, for example? Is it also problematic to withdraw money from your WM-wallet to a Ukrainian bank account?...
Trouble...
аватар Veter_Peremen
By the way, Alexbank has Internet banking in English.
аватар oleksandr_ua
just now on webmoney "thaw" and can be withdrawn to the card for 0.8%.
аватар Veter_Peremen
It's clear.
Then the option is:
1) SWIFT from Egyptian account to WM
2) from WM - to a Ukrainian card
True, I "do not like" the commission of WM itself for the withdrawal. But, I suppose, it's still cheaper than, for example, Western.
Take more though.
But in Skrill, the commissions are very adequate, therefore, it may be worthwhile to clarify in Ukrainian banks which of them will accept money from Skrill and credit it to your account. I am sure that this is possible, because this is a regular international transfer.
By the way, WM gave out that there are WM points in Egypt:
Al Qahirah, Egypt
Al Iskandariyah, Egypt
Al Bahr al Ahmar, Egypt
As far as I understand it is:
in Cairo,
in Alexandria,
in Hurghada.
Good luck Oleksandr!

What is the fee for Skrill?
Replenishment, transfer?
Are there analogues of currency exchange like on webmoney - for example dollar / ruble?
аватар Veter_Peremen
Here is the link to the tariffs: https://www.skrill.com/ru/dljachastnykhlic/tarify/
1.9% when replenishing from a card, 0% when replenishing by transfer via SWIFT (then a bank commission will be taken - as far as I remember, Alexbank has 30Le for up to 1000Le plus 2Le for every next thousand pounds. In dollars - the equivalent is taken. Per day you can transfer the amount of 10.000Le or equivalent).
A withdrawal to Skrill costs €2.95 regardless of the amount. There are limits on the amount of input and output. They depend on how much information you provided to the payment system. The more open you are, and the more transparent the transfer, the higher these amounts.
As far as I remember, it is also possible to convert within the system. But more precisely, look at the official Skrill website: https://www.skrill.com/ru
Good luck!

Please tell me how can I send money from Egypt to Ukraine, in Egypt they say that now the transfer of wester union (due to the war in Ukraine) has been canceled ..
аватар Pachok
Svetlana, what city are you in? Banks normally do not work only in the war zone. Western Union normally walks (Kyiv).
аватар svetlana.yakime
Kharkiv region, the city of Izyum) Well, the young man went to the bank, he was told that there are no transfers now .. He is from Saudi Arabia)
аватар orbittours.ru
We have Western Union as usual. It was not closed here even during our revolution. Let the young man go through the banks, some of them do not work with spring. In the book, the book, distributed free of charge in Sharm, there is a list of bank phone numbers, let him call.
аватар Pachok
Well, it is possible that the young man fantasizes :)
аватар orbittours.ru
Maybe he is lazy, maybe he fantasizes)))))))
аватар Ariel3939
To send money to Ukraine, try the Ukrainian service https://fine.money. It works quickly, the commission is lower than similar options like western union. But you need to have an account opened in Egypt or in another country. The recipient must have a hryvnia card opened in any Ukrainian bank
