Acclimatization - how to fight?
Personally, my state of health worsens after returning, but since my husband never flew in the off-season, and even to such southern latitudes, then, accordingly: who will share their experience - how does it manifest itself (temperature? weakness?) and most importantly - what medicines do you fight?
How do allergy sufferers feel there? (my husband has cats and poplar fluff)

I have nowhere and never acclimatization... except EGYPT! It manifests itself like this - "kumar" in the head and constantly tends to sleep. I don't fight, I sleep.
I hope you and your husband are doing well.

In general, acclimatization is a very individual phenomenon. I was also afraid, especially for the children, but none of us showed four signs of acclimatization. The baby was driving with snot - they dried up on the first day. Fatigue after a flight and a sleepless night in Boryspil - yes. On the first day in Egypt, they just went to bed early. Acclimatization, on the contrary, is more difficult to endure when you return from picturesque sunny Egypt to gray cold Kyiv. But home is still better!

we often fly from winter to summer (Egypt, UAE, Jordan). I will say this - acclimatization may depend on pressure drops (one of the options). If you can clearly define how your blood pressure reacts in this case (increases / decreases), then you can regulate it either by folk (tea / coffee / cognac ...) or medical methods. I am a "hypotonic" and already on the rise I begin this syndrome - immediately drink coffee, cognac, then coffee again and in the hotel again coffee or strong tea ... - everything passes. Listen to your body and heed all its signals. Have a good rest!

You don’t have to worry - there will be no poplar fluff in Egypt, cats are also unlikely to meet you in a hotel :) If you arrive in Egypt with a slight cough - in a dry climate with sea air, you will be cured in a couple of days, even chronic bronchitis goes away. So the acclimatization of the respiratory system passes with a bang.
You need to be careful with water and food. Do not drink water (even boiled) from the tap, do not brush your teeth with it if you are not sure about the strength of the stomach, try not to swallow water from the sea pool when swimming (freshwater pools are actively chlorinated, sea ones are not). This year, many complain about poisoning in hotels. Therefore, let a woman try the first course (as a less valuable member of the crew):) In fact, women have more sensitive taste buds. But in general, a little common sense - and acclimatization will be successful! Have a nice trip!

Sorry, but there are cats in hotels, real sphinxes, he fed one in charm. But they don't enter restaurants and rooms. Basically, problems happen to those who, having just arrived, immediately thump on the beach, or by the pool and lie in the sun all day naturally, skin burns, but this is another matter.

I, my family, my friends, acquaintances have never had anything like this with Egypt. And I haven't heard from tourists yet. My wife had an allergy once, but she was then in her 6th month, and this is easily manifested in pregnant women. I don't think it will happen to you either, although everyone's body is different. Be sure to take an allergy pill, I also always carry it with me, but thank God it has never come in handy, which is what I wish you.

I myself am allergic to cat hair, I can tell a lot of interesting things on this topic ... But if the cat does not live in a room (like in an apartment), then there will be no allergy. True, if you scratch and stroke the cat, and then rub your eyes, then a person with allergies can achieve the desired effect even on the street :)
аватар Kasja23
For information, I can add that the type of cat for allergy sufferers does not play any role - it can be Siamese, Siberian, and even bald sphinxes. Only lion hair does not cause allergies. And since American doctors consider allergies to be a psychological illness, turning off the brain can defeat allergies. Patients under anesthesia do not have respiratory allergies. I also checked this on myself. Once in the company I got drunk to an insane state, caught the owner's cat and, gently hugging her, fell asleep on the sofa. Friends looked into the room every 15 minutes, afraid to miss the moment to call "ambulance" and saving me from an asthmatic attack, because it was not possible to tear the cat out of my arms ... But they did not wait!

Yeah .... the question was about allergies in Egypt! :-) and the topic was developed about cats! :))))))
When I was in Egypt for the first time, I was very tired after the flight, went to bed at the end of the day and woke up with a terrible asthma attack (I barely took it off, I drank a lot of pills, I had them with me). Then on the second day I realized that it was at the end of the day that the plants were sprayed with something poisonous and I was suffocating from this, so we always tried until that time to just leave the hotel for a walk. But still, shortness of breath went away only outside the hotel.
The second time I specifically chose a hotel without a lot of greenery and so as not to spray it. And lo and behold!!! I felt great! She breathed perfectly, much better than at home (in the Crimea)!
But the husband, in the joy of his first trip to Egypt in winter, on the very first day, bathed in the sea and the pool, in the evening, with a cool breeze, he looked naked and fell ill. I had to drink my own medicines and run around pharmacies.
By the way, there are antibiotics, and drops for the nose and throat. Only in a pharmacy near the hotel I was deceived in price, and then in other pharmacies prices turned out to be reasonable, there is a doctor (only during the day) who understands at least a little something in Russian and the prices are lower!

Of course, I agree with you, they deviated a little from the topic. But allergens are specifically indicated in the question, maybe the author will be interested.

on the second or third day after arriving in Egypt, there was a slight fever, brought down by pills. On the next day everything is ok! Upon arrival in St. Petersburg, there was no acclimatization.

alla_dm63 - what kind of spray hotel was that?
аватар alla_dm63
It was the Samaka Beach Hotel. But in fact, almost all hotels that have a large amount of greenery spray it, otherwise all sorts of insects will eat it. True, at the same time spraying killed mosquitoes :)))))
And where they didn’t spray, we let mosquitoes in on the first evening, fought them for half the night :-)))) then we became smarter, we didn’t open the balcony in the evening!

Everyone has their own way, but most of the time there is no deterioration.
My wife has an injured spine (fall), an operation to remove an intervertebral hernia .... in general, her back hurts constantly, but upon arrival in Egypt everything goes away, and after returning for another month, her back does not bother.
Fly, don't be afraid!
аватар miki08
In his youth, he received a complex spinal injury, and by the age of 40 it began to make itself felt. I got an appointment with a very good specialist, he explained that in my case the operation was not very effective, and the drugs would only aggravate my health, and he advised the more the better, swimming, and preferably in sea water. For more than seven years, every winter and spring I fly to the Red Sea, and in the summer I fly to the Black Sea, and I forgot what pain is. anbendas take your wife more often to the sea, and believe that her pain will disappear, or at least will be much less.
аватар gostia
One well-known immunologist told me that the Red Sea is good for people suffering from severe seborrhea. If you stay there for a month, then for a year she releases more or less. True, for some reason he said that he needed to go to Israel.
When I returned from Egypt last time in March, I felt bad for about 2 weeks - it felt like I was donating and half a liter of blood was sucked out. Nothing helped, I just had to wait. Maybe because I'm hypotensive.
аватар miki08
Everything is natural when after 30 in the shade, bright sun, and flowering vegetation, and the warm sea in March in Egypt. You are going down the stairs of the plane into the dank gray, cold reality of your homeland, even on a subconscious level you already feel discomfort, and if you have deviations in health, then naturally you have problems, and nothing can be done about it.
аватар Pachok
gostia, maybe he did not mean the Red Sea, but the Dead? From the Dead, indeed, very many skin diseases disappear, or there is a lasting improvement.
аватар gostia
As far as I remember, it is red in Israel. The climate there is specific, and many skin diseases are just manifestations of internal diseases. Like the climate is suitable for tuberculosis patients in the Crimea, so for those who have psoriasis and seborrhea - in Israel. I'm not a doctor myself, because I heard it and told it.
аватар koroshchenko
Wherever I rest for 3-4 days, I always feel worse, even in the Crimea. Before the trip I make a list of necessary medicines (I must take a universal antibiotic), but the best medicines are the sea, the sun and the air. 2-3 days and everything passes, I'm used to it.
As for my allergies, they also have it for cats, but if you invite them to your room, don't threaten your husband. Poplars in Egypt are something new, it would be a synthetic reason for Ukrainians to get drunk once again.
And seriously, my parents are hypertensive. The flight will be difficult for them, but then the whole holiday feels good in contrast to the rest in Turkey. In Egypt, there is almost no change in the pole.

You are all right, Israel is washed by 3 seas: the Dead, Red and Mediterranean, and the climate there is very, very specific.
