I was in Hurghada in December, I used the services of a guide whom I found from reviews on the Internet. I wrote personally to people who left reviews about him on Facebook, everyone is happy with him. https://www.facebook.com/mohamedamonhrg?fref=pb&hc_location=friends_tab&pnref=friends.all
The guide is responsible, with very good Russian, tells interesting and fun. The level of service is good, and the prices are much lower than those of hotel guides.

I was in Luxor, but it was a long time ago, I remember that we went to one of the local firms at the Sheraton (this is Hurghada) with a company, took several excursions, including Luxor, El Gouna, etc., got good discounts, satisfied with the trip.
Now I remembered the name of another, located not far from the mermaid monument at the Sheraton, I took excursions from her to the Shar el-Nagu coral reserve, served mainly Western tourists, it seems Ultra Egypt Tours. Yes, there were three of them in a row. The main thing is to see that they have documents for tourism activities, what kind of office, what discounts. It will obviously be cheaper than hotel ones.

Good evening ! Tell me how safe it is to go on excursions to Cairo and Luxor in connection with the terrorist attacks in Egypt???
аватар denisovaolya2017
No one can definitively answer this question for you. To go or not is only at your discretion. Personally, I did not want to go to Cairo for two reasons: the first is a long road, and the second no one can give a guarantee of 100% safety. I was in Luxor before, but I sent a friend. She was satisfied. Although I agree that the time is disturbing. However, as in Ukraine ......

When I went to Luxor, it was a whole caravan of buses (up to 100 cars) and, under the protection of heavily armed police, we went to Luxor in a column and also returned. I think that now also, maybe even tougher security measures. I would not go to Cairo now.

Do not give up, deprive yourself of a lot of pleasure. The trip is chic, it costs $ 35 per person, there are a lot of impressions. It is very interesting to see not only the sights themselves. But also the real life of the Egyptians. After this trip, we have the impression that we visited Afghanistan and India together. Great trip, highly recommended

Thank you) I’m completely confused ... People seem to be driving now, we have announced a warning not to go due to the state of emergency in Egypt (I’m from Ukraine) ... but I read on the Internet - it’s from April 17 and is extended regularly ... many here dissuade us, but the tour is bought and I don’t want to refuse ... the vacation is planned

We returned from Hurghada five days ago, rested in the Sea gull resord. There were 10 days, including the new year. During this time, we visited Luxor, which included a ride on the Nile, and a banana island, and a free lunch in the city of the Dead). Separately, we ordered a five-hour trip through the desert on ATVs (25km one way). The quad bikes cost $15 including show and lunch as well as camel riding. Don't hesitate to travel, it's very interesting. Yes, when you drive in Luxor and see checkpoints with machine guns, it's a bit of a strange feeling. But Egypt is safe enough. Get a lot of pleasure from excursions. There are coordinates of a travel agency in Hurghada, where there are very excellent prices, truthful information, big discounts. They work until 11 pm, are located right next to the smoldering (800m), communicate, including in Russian.

A trip to Luxor (one way distance 300 km from Hurghada) takes the whole day. Last from 4-30 in the morning, then until they collect everyone from different hotels, we left the magazines at 6 in the morning. We returned back to the hotel at 22.30. The cost of the trip is $35 per adult, $17 per child under 12 years old. The price includes: transfer, English-speaking guide, visit to the Luxor shrine, visit to the tombs, visit to the banana island, free fruit table - bananas, dates, guava, strawberries; free lunch in the city of the Dead, riding on the Nile, visiting the temple of Anaksanamun (maybe I made a mistake with the name).
Trips were booked at a travel agency (800m from the sea gull hotel).

Medo is a Russian-speaking travel agency worker.
We were pleased with the prices that he offered us. Because the girls from other hotels said that they paid 75 euros for this trip.

thanks for the coordinates. We are discussing) I really want to get there, we are going to rest for the 4th time and still we can’t get into historical places ...
If I understand correctly, the banana island is not included in all excursions to Luxor? I looked through the reviews of tourists and the offers of travel agencies - some have it, others somehow haven’t seen it.
аватар vovasmashey2004
They take everything, they just try with some for an additional $10 per person. For the money the island is not worth it. And as part of the overall trip package, that's it)))) Have a nice holiday, you'll like it!
