Where is the best sea?
We are going to relax at sea in September, we choose between Turkey and Egypt (Hurghada). Are there any differences between the sea in Kemer and Hurghada? I know that the best sea is in Sharm, but it is these regions that are of interest. Where is it better to go in terms of the sea - to Kemer (Turkey) or Hurghada (Egypt)?

Hey! There is nothing better than Turkey! Believe! I just recommend to go to Alanya, to Antik Roman Palace Hotel. The hotel is wonderful, the location is just super, the staff is polite, the food is delicious and varied! If you have not been to Turkey and this is your first visit, I simply recommend it, you will not regret it !!!
аватар VIPer76
continued ... I didn’t answer the most important thing, the sea is certainly better in Egypt, and it’s more pleasant to relax in Turkey !!! In Egypt, the staff, I think (my opinion), is worse!!!
аватар Viltis
Well, if you compare the sea, then definitely Egypt. Even Hurghada. The Mediterranean, Aegean, Black Seas cannot even be compared with the Red Sea, an unethical comparison turns out :-) Coral reefs, exotic fish, this is definitely not in Turkey. If you need the sea, then don't even think about it, go to Egypt.
аватар Mariya25
I am in awe of the Red Sea of Egypt. This is a must see.
And having traveled a bunch of times through these two countries, I still chose Egypt for myself. Well, I love it and that's it ...
There, for me, the atmosphere is different ... the smell is different .. I can’t even describe it. Although I also love Turkey.
аватар Aglasha
I can already say for sure: go to Egypt! It’s good in Turkey, I just returned, but in Egypt the Red Sea, and it is out of competition !!!
аватар Liiz
Maria, but it is true: in Egypt the air is different. Not to mention the Red Sea, which I have never seen better either!!!
аватар Ann28
The Red Sea is definitely better in Egypt and it is not as salty as the Mediterranean, at least you can dive
аватар masyanya2140
In Turkey it is good in its own way, in Egypt - in its own way. The differences between the seas of Turkey and Egypt are obvious. In Turkey, you will not see such fauna and living creatures in the sea, and in Egypt you will get a lot of pleasure from snorkeling or scuba diving! In Hurghada, there are not as many living creatures in the sea as in Sharm, but you can still see a lot of interesting things! You can swim to Paradise Island, there is a very beautiful underwater world. Have a nice rest!
аватар lili-payn
The sea is better in Egypt, if you wish, you can go on a boat trip, it includes three hour stops on the reefs, plus lunch cooked right on the boat (take alcohol with you). Have a nice rest.
аватар TanjaYad
If you go to Hurghada, advice: if you want to see fish, you can ride an aquascope and go on a boat trip to the coral islands, it's better than to a paradise island, we didn't really see fish there. Yes, it's not Charm. But still the Red Sea is SUPER!!!!!!!!
аватар rina68
For me, the sea is better in Egypt, service in Turkey, and what is important for you, decide for yourself, just choose the right hotel so that you don’t suffer later.
In Hurghada, there are corals and fish in Dessert Rose 5 stars. he stood in my choice.
аватар Zlata28
Because the author of the question emphasizes comparison
it is the seas - then definitely Egypt and the Red Sea.
The underwater world is very beautiful, not to mention
that the Red Sea is considered very clean
because no river flows into it

And why not Spain, Greece, Italy, etc. Does this attract the Muslim world? The sea in Egypt is really impressive, but ... You still have to live in a hotel and communicate with the staff. If the choice is only between these two countries, then Turkey.
аватар Viltis
And where are the corals in Spain, Greece, Italy? Tell me, please, I'll go there with pleasure.
аватар JulijaS
I envy you if the corals are so impressive that they replace all other beauties! Nobody says they're not good, but I can't spend 24 hours at sea. And you?
аватар Pepper
JulijaS, you are incorrect. The author of the question asks about the SEA. If the SEA is important for him, then the answer is obvious - Egypt! And why, excuse me, did the servants in Egypt not please you? =)))) Turkey is good, no doubt, and more civilized than Egypt... So what? ))) For example, I go on vacation not for the charms of civilization. And Turkey will outweigh Egypt for me only if it is significantly cheaper.
In general, there is no dispute about tastes ...
аватар Pepper
Quote: "Corals are so impressive that they replace all other beauty"
You know - replace! Moreover, there are no special beauties in Turkey. ))) It's almost European-clean... and boring. )))
By the way, the phrase "There will be more culture in Turkey" has long become a household word. It is pronounced in many countries (especially in the eastern ones) by Russo-tourists, who are not inclined to understand and accept the spirit and exoticism of the east.
But in fact, it's just a DIFFERENT vacation. Someone on vacation climbs Elbrus and does not complain about the lack of heated toilets at the top ...
аватар JulijaS
Correctly! I am FOR Rest of the European level!
аватар AlexFM
JulijaS, do you communicate with servants 24 hours a day? I sympathize! Most prefer to look at the sea, and not at the waiters.
аватар lgkots09
of course the sea is better in hurghada

2 JulijaS: Yes, I'm going to Egypt just for corals. To Holland for canals, cheese, knolp, to Hungary for baths, paprika, the Danube, to Belgium for chocolate, mannequin peace and grand place, to Greece for Gramvousa, moussaka, the cave of Zeus, to Israel for the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Dead Sea .. etc. I try to choose a hotel that meets my requirements, the main of which is NO COMpatriots (they spoil the rest ;-), I communicate with the hotel staff with great pleasure. I am satisfied with the service and attitude towards me. That's just in Greece, Hungary, Holland and especially France, the attitude towards Russian speakers, as representatives of third world countries, is much worse. No need to build the navel of the earth out of yourself, no one owes you anything. We need to enjoy what we have, treat people as equals, with respect, then you will be respected.
Although, I would not want to be in the same hotel with you :-) Just people like you, I mean by the word "compatriots" and I try to avoid any contact in every possible way. Resting next to ignorance is not easy.
аватар JulijaS
Do you happen to know why in the countries you mentioned there is such an attitude towards Russian speakers? Why is there no relationship you mentioned as equals? And why do you avoid holidays with your compatriots? Yes, by the way, I'm not your compatriot at all. Stop cursing.
аватар Viltis
I know, because those who come from a third world country, with a gross income ten times lower, behave like masters of life. Crap, spit and humiliate. What will be their attitude? Appropriate.
I do not swear, but I call a spade a spade. You are treated badly EVERYWHERE, even here, and you do not realize that this is not the fault of others. Happy ignorance :-)
аватар Viltis
2 JulijaS: you advise to go to Turkey, where you haven't been :-) Brilliant. Just a brilliance of intellect ..
аватар Matveika
EGYPT! And not necessarily Sharm (it’s deep there, there are currents and waves, entry into the sea is mainly from pontoons). There is Marsa Alam! And there are places for snorkeling in Hurghada. And in Turkey, only swim (diving is not interesting) - and there are many rocky, not very comfortable beaches. And in general, having visited the Black, Red and Mediterranean Seas, I realized how different they are: neither in color, nor in smell, nor in fauna! You need to visit as many seas as possible, for comparison! And start with EGYPT!
аватар Viltis
2 Matveika: please tell me where is a good reef in Hurghada. We have stopped at Bel Air for the time being, there are three azures and a reef. How is he? Some write that it's cool, others that it's dead. My husband and I are not such great divers, but we would like to see something. Already seriously thinking about Sharma, but I can’t find anything worthwhile there, probably Bel Air. Is there a better reef?
аватар Elenka31
I agree with Matthew.
I won’t tell you in Hurghada itself, but in Makadi Bay there are hotels with beautiful fish:
1. El nabila grand makadi (but the food and service there are HORRIBLE, and the reef is just SUPER).
2. Sunrise Royal Makadi (to the left (there are more of them) and to the right of the hotel there are also decent reefs and different fish) Yes, and the hotel itself is SUPER. I was there twice.
In September, I think I will also fly to Sharm in the sunrise.
аватар Viltis
What is the sunrise in Sharm? Which one is between Savoy and Concord? Yesterday they dissuaded me :-( Sunrise iceland view. Is it good? The reef is cool there .. Sharks Bay after all ..
аватар Elenka31
Yes, that’s where we’re going. There was one in the hotel itself, but there was only one chain, which means that the service and the rooms are the same. We didn’t consider others. Yes, and read reviews about it.
аватар Viltis
I just read it .. I read reviews about him, about Sierra, about Savita and decided to go to Hurghada to Bel Air :-) But it’s too early for us to buy a tour, we’re going in mid-September, so we’ll change our mind a hundred times .. I also Safaga is VERY, but the hotel that I want is not for sale in Ukraine :-( Magic Life.
