So Google shows, maybe there are some roads that you can drive faster, I don’t know that. Just try to check in your city the price of a ticket for a bus that travels a distance of 500 km and one that travels 400. As my experience shows, they do not differ much, and sometimes there is a strange situation in general and the price for a longer distance may be less.
2) On this excursion, about which I wrote, we met the guys. So these guys went to Luxor the next day. We drove for about 6 hours (according to them), as there was a large tourist bus. We reached Cairo in about 5 hours - a bus with 16 seats, one of them is the driver's seat.
3) I spent my time looking for sites with similar information and found enough offers from different agencies. No one is forcing you to choose this - it's just a recommendation.
