I'm probably repeating myself, but! Don't buy Sharm! It's deep there! Winds, i.e. and waves and currents! And swim only from pontoons (as mentioned above)! Does your child need it? There are enough hotels in Hurghada with good beaches and corals. Personally, I was in these: Coral Beach 4 and Dessert Roses 5 (next to the adios Goldenfife ... my respect ..:). The second one turned out to be cheaper (June 09) and there is also a lagoon without waves. And fish: many and large! Bigger than in Sharm!!! I advise Rosa - a decent place to relax!
