In Hurghada, almost everywhere the entrance to the sea is "gradual" with the exception of hotels on the outskirts. Sia Star, just on the outskirts, but, you see, they say it's a normal entrance. I would choose the Plaza so that it is not far from the new center, where all the entertainment is concentrated :)
