From Hurghada is quite stressful. Especially if by bus. The distance is twice as long as to Luxor or Cairo. And the people speak of these excursions as very difficult. The best option is to take a tour with a cruise on the Nile, and so that the end point on the ship is in Aswan. Then they manage to go to Abu Simbel before lunch. There is a distance of about 250 km. Their drivers have time to slip through it in less than 2.5 hours. And in Aswan there is something to see. Botanical garden on the island, Philae island, dam. We have not regretted the money spent.
