Should I go to Hurghada in January?
Please tell me if it is worth going to Hurghada in mid-January. We want to sunbathe, swim, go on excursions. Who was there at that time?

I went to Hurghada in January for two years. I sunbathed beautifully, swam, dived to the reefs, went on excursions to Luxor, to the coral reserve. There are trip reports in my account. I was satisfied.

At this time the nights are cold and there can be strong winds. Good to go on excursions - not so hot.

It can be not so much cool there as a strong unpleasant wind from the desert. In normal hotels on the beach there are special screens from the wind, if you block them, then the heat and sun are completely non-winter :)

I am in a hotel at night or put on a jacket, they don’t swim or sunbathe there at night (read the question!), In the afternoon, the wind from the desert starts to blow, quite cold, if the terrain allows or there are screens, up to 5 6 pm bathed. But it still depends on nature, in 08 it was cold in January in the evenings, in 09 it was warm, so it doesn’t happen year after year!

were in Hurghada in January - and swam, and sunbathed, and went on excursions. At times it was not only warm - it was even hot. Winds - yes, it happens in the evenings, but again, not cold, but warm. Well, he put on a windbreaker and went. And so in shorts and t-shirts constantly went.

Was in January, in Hurghada. Oooh .. nooo .. it’s cold and windy ... the water is cold, but still, I swam)) and I don’t really like it ... there are few tourists, there’s not much to do, as there is, and leave the beach earlier, because of the cold wind.

Everything is possible. If it seems that it is too windy, then you can dive into the heated pool. And it's a great time for a tour.

if there are heated pools, by the way I’m interested in how it is in Egypt, how often do they meet ... because somewhere in Cyprus you will arrive at the beginning or end of the season and there are only a couple of hotels in a large heated area.

in five stars often :) I was recently in Sonesta Pharaoh - there is, in other hotels in Hurghada there is, in Marsa Alam too.

If it weren’t for the Red Sea with its underwater world, I wouldn’t go to Egypt, I saw sights and antiquities on my first trip. I have a heated pool in Zaporozhye, where I go all winter. Hurghada stops in the month of April, then it is more comfortable for the very thermophilic. And I was comfortable in January, there is not the Arctic, and not even St. Petersburg, where it is in June.

Alex45, reminded me how I swam in the White Sea))) everything is relative.
(but let me disagree with you about the sights. It’s problematic to go around them all at once)
