People, tell me, who went to Luxor with an individual tour? I want to take in a local agency, they advise an individual because of a small child. How different is the price?

This is not an easy excursion even for an adult, but why drag a small child there?
аватар nadin65
For the time being, it is advisable to refrain from long trips to Cairo and Luxor.
The resorts are calm, but who knows there ;(

Endure without this excursion. You are exhausted yourself, you are exhausting the baby.

And ma-ma-chkam don't care...

We went on a private tour to Luxor from Hurghada. But without a small child :). I think that kids have nothing to do on such excursions. Do not forget that it is much hotter in Luxor than on the Red Sea coast. But if you go with a child, then only on an individual tour. It will be a Toyota Corolla or Mitsubishi Lancer with air conditioning and a qualified driver. So, you won't get too tired on the road. But then hiking in and around Luxor is quite exhausting. True, you can always just sit on a bench in the shade, and not walk through the ruins.

We traveled as a foursome in December 2009, in two cars, with a guide, and paid $100 per person. True, they traded for a long time :). For comparison: from Pegasus we were offered $ 90 in a shared bus. In addition to Luxor, on the same trip we were also in Dendera. A typical tour did not provide for this.
And in Dendera I liked the temple much more than Karnak. The ceiling paintings are amazing!

Then why go there? I don't see the point.
аватар alexfabr19
jabetta, I don't see it either, but let the tourist decide for himself :)

Something, just the tourist himself does not stick out, although we are crucifying here.

But in the fortune1979 forum - she was at the forefront, but then she asked a question and was silent; (
What did you decide?

nadin65, I asked a question, got answers, thanks. I wasn’t in the forefront - what does this have to do with it, by the way? I have already been on a group tour in Luxor with a three-year-old child, and I want to go again. I wanted to read the opinion of those who were in Luxor on an individual tour

Hmm... And if you have ALREADY been to Luxor, then why again??? My husband and I love the "ruins" of Egypt. But instead of a second excursion to Luxor, it is probably better to go to Dendera + Abydos.
We went to the individual from Hurghada. Full delight! Only not "on the street" bought, but from the guide of our tour operator.
Although, with children under adolescence, I do not recommend traveling on these long-distance serious excursions. Even if you go on an individual tour (micro-bus), it is still a long and tiring ride. Yes, and on the spot - I can’t imagine how to climb all these ruins with a child. And most importantly, why? No one to leave the baby with during the tour? Can't wait to get there now, without waiting for the kids to grow up? Apparently. I can not understand...
аватар jabetta
That's right - do not understand! And to a greater extent, do not understand the kids, what the hell and for what they are so tormented?
аватар papa74
The baby has a vacation, he is going to RELAX!
аватар papa74
Mom will NOT understand this!
