What is the temperature in August.
We want to go in August with two children 9l. and 3.5g. Or go somewhere else. We love Egypt, but we have never been there in the summer.

I vacationed in Egypt four times at the end of August and only once in December :) I traveled twice with a child. The heat is well tolerated there, because. dry, the sea is not hot at all, a pleasant breeze blows. Of course, it is better to go to the beach in the morning before 11-12 and in the evening after 15. In the daytime, it is better to relax in the room, because. the sun is really hot. The air temperature at the end of August reaches 35-40, but this heat is pleasant again because of the dryness. But the water is very warm! I got so used to the August water temperature that I couldn’t swim in December! So I advise you to go in August - you won't regret it! Just be sure to take protective creams with a high degree of protection and smear yourself and children more often while in the sun. Because it is very strong, and at sea you don’t feel that you are burning - it seems that it’s not hot, the breeze blows.

Just do not try to go on excursions in the heat! This is how I went to Cairo. It’s really terrible heat there, especially on the pyramids - it’s just hellish !!! Already no pyramids are interesting - I want to quickly run to the bus with air conditioning !!!

Everyone has their own tolerance for heat. I went crazy in the summer in Egypt! the heat is unbearable. you sit and sweat flows on you! bueeee
you go out in the sun and immediately burn. as a result, she received skin burns and allergies - despite the fact that with max. sun protection factor.
I feel comfortable there in December! the water is as warm as in other times.
better go in october

Anetka-gan, here I agree that everything is individual. But I'm a merzlyachka :) And I love the heat in principle.

Thank you all so much for your time!!!!!

I fully share the opinion of my0612.
I am also a jerk. My husband and I were in Egypt in mid-late November ... brrrrrrr. The pools have ice cold water. The sea is stormy + the wind is cool. In the evenings, it is generally necessary to warm up to the fullest.
But after that, they were once in June, and the second - in July (until the 31st). Quite another matter! Now we only decided to go there in the summer.
Yes, everyone has their own tastes. My friend is delighted with the cool climate, but I need the heat. In different resorts in Egypt, slightly different temperatures. Sharm is 2-4 degrees warmer than Hurghada (it's better not to go to Sharm in summer). And in Luxor - even 2-4 degrees hotter than in Sharm. But we still went on excursions. We just love these "ruins" and were ready to endure. Nothing. It didn’t get bad, although the wind there is dry and just hot! By the sea in hotels - much nicer! So, in Hurghada in July and August it is the same: day +34, night +27. Stable. This temperature is very comfortable for me. And my husband too, by the way. In general, you don’t need to take any things with long sleeves or trousers (only if a man goes to a restaurant in the evening).
We will only go there in the summer.

Last summer in July, we literally escaped in Egypt from the heat that was in Russia for 3 weeks. Strange, right? In Africa, they fled from the Russian heat ... I'll tell you, what a difference! We returned home and went crazy. The air is stuffy, you immediately cover yourself afterwards, disgusting ... And there was nothing like this in Egypt! The air is pleasant there. It was possible to sweat only around 12-14 hours (if you were outside). But we sunbathed only until 11 am and after 3 pm in the afternoon.

And in the afternoon - they played billiards, ate, sat in a cafe, sometimes slept (so that they had enough energy for a night disco)))).
In Turkey, for example, in summer (July-August), the air is very humid, like in a steam room. This is not for me at all! And on the Aegean coast of Turkey, the air is comfortable, but the water is too cool.
So, for us in the summer, Egypt (Hurghada) is our favorite place! And, by the way, not only young people from Russia, but also pensioners from Germany and families with babies rest there in June and July. Everyone looks cheerful and healthy (I have not seen anyone suffer from the heat).
I think you should go, and then decide for yourself what YOU like more!
аватар my0612
Krasotas, and I also agree with you about Turkey. There, because of the humidity, the heat is felt, unlike in Egypt. And at the expense of pensioners :) My mother (a pensioner), having visited Turkey and Egypt, now also prefers Egypt. In Turkey, she even had an allergy to the sun, and in Egypt in August she was quite comfortable and did not suffer from the heat.

Oh, thank you very much!!!! Now we should wait for August and in front of us ..... Our vacation in March fell through, we really want warmth.

Regarding allergies to the sun - I myself periodically encounter this (regardless of where I am - in Russia, or at a resort). But I found a variant of "salvation": if a little, then "Psilobalm" (it also helps with nettles and bites). And if the allergy is stronger, then Ksizal (pills). They do not affect the liver, even alcohol is possible (which is prohibited with other allergy medications). Although, I'm not an alcoholic, of course. But for whom it matters...
taniaPTZ, if it's not a secret, which hotel are you going to? )) Interesting! We ourselves are planning Egypt in July. Yes... wait...
And, even with us, a girl rested in Egypt in July, she said that before that she had been in Turkey in the summer, so she felt very bad. Something like asthma. In general, the climate did not go. And in Egypt, I felt great!

Krasotas, many thanks for councils in occasion of an allergy on the sun! :) Because we tried Claritin, but it didn't help.
аватар Krasotas
Well, I'm glad you found the tip helpful!
Yes, and Claritin did not help me! (Tavegil, suprastin - too). And Ksizal - newer tablets, more perfect. True, expensive (350-400 rubles). Just don't let anyone think it's an advertisement! I just suffered with this allergy myself ... And I love the sea and the sun very much!

indeed in August in Hurghada it is hot and very
but those who say that heat is easier to bear are also right
thanks to the dry climate
for example +40 in Egi is much easier to carry
than the same +40 we have in the Crimea, not to mention Turkey
the main thing is NOT to forget about the means of protection against
scorching sun with maximum protection factor
and of course at the most dangerous time (in the afternoon)
located somewhere in the room or in the lobby

We are going to Jungle Aqua Park (Hurghada) We were already there, the children are delighted, and we all liked it. They don't want to hear anything else. We were in Turkey in June, it was hard, we stick to Egypt.
My son has dermatitis (I didn’t swim in the sea), but there wasn’t a trace left on the skin, after half a year it showed up again. The climate there is very good.

Clear. I sincerely wish you a great holiday! And the health of the whole family!
If the hotel has slides, all the more, it will be cool in summer. After all, in the pools the water is at a pleasant temperature. You can splash as much as you like. But, of course, waterproof protection from the sun is necessary.

We were there that year in March, the pools were icy, only heated in the aqua park. In August, the sea is warm and the pools are awesome. I'm wondering when is the best time to buy a ticket for August? Please let me know if anyone knows.
аватар Krasotas
If the hotel is good, then do not pull "to the last" - it can go "to the stop"!
At least 2-3 weeks before the trip. In general, there is also an early booking. So, last year we regretted that we did not buy by "early booking". Etonomiya would be 10-20 thousand rubles. But this, of course, is also a risk ... What if political unrest starts again ... Or the dollar will fall, so that it will become cheaper over time ...
In general, it's up to you! But this time we will buy for July somewhere in May.

Jungle Aqua Park is a top hotel, consistently in demand. I think that you need to buy a ticket in advance (say, a month in advance), even now you can buy it if you already have the opportunity to book for August. I just doubt that there will be places in the hotel 1-2 weeks before the planned vacation. And there is no talk of last-minute trips at all, in general, I noticed that last-minute tours are extremely rare in hotels of the Albatros network (Jungle belongs to this network). I am also looking at them: I am interested in Aqua Vista and Leila. In fact, I am also very worried about the question of when to book a hotel. Because they plan to go to Leila in the fall. And of course, I would not want to overpay, but to buy a ticket at the best price.

Krasotas, our opinions coincided this time too :)))

Agree! ))

Tez-Tour, by the way, often has very profitable SPOs (special offers). They sometimes throw off 200-300 dollars. You just need to periodically monitor prices, and when you take away some tempting offer, then quickly grab it!
аватар my0612
For early booking. I myself just took advantage of it by booking a hotel in Turkey for May (Club Boran Mare). Tickets were bought on March 23 for May 11. It turns out more than a month and a half. Moreover, there were only one tour operator left in the hotel. Another couple of days would have been delayed with the purchase, and they would not have been able to book it. Now until the end of May the hotel is "in the stop". And the prices at the end of May are 20 thousand more expensive than we bought at the middle of May. So the conclusion is this: hotels that are in demand must be booked in advance.
аватар taniaPTZ
Thank you, I think in June it will be possible to look after. Today I can't find anything for August. But the prices for this hotel this year are much higher ... How much will they increase in August?
