excursions with babies
Guys, we want to go 7 to Hurghada. Is it possible to go to Luxor on an excursion with a one-year-old child? Is it hot? What class of buses, how comfortable? I will be grateful for any information.

As for an adult, the tour is very long and strenuous. The Valley of the Kings is one of the hottest places on the planet.
Why would you punish your child like that?

We drove from Hurghada to Luxor. Two adults (no children). Very hard!!! Even we... can't imagine how it is possible to go on this excursion with a baby. The bus is not bad (we drove from the operator ODEON). But it's a long ride. They themselves got drunk, and even as with a baby ... By the way, the bus was full, but there were no children under 12-14 years old (in appearance) among the passengers. The air conditioner is turned on in the bus. Everyone wrapped up, froze (ride all night). And there is heat. If I understand correctly, are you leaving on April 7? So, on April 6 in Luxor, according to the forecast: +28 during the day, +9 at night. The difference is significant. And since Luxor is further from the sea than Hurghada or Sharm, the air there is hot and dry. We then had a burning (not strong, of course, but not pleasant enough) wind.
The tour itself is interesting, but tedious even for adults who are without babies.
Conclusion: Of course, nothing is impossible. Really. But as a person who has been on this trip (Hurghada - Luxor), I absolutely do not recommend going there with a baby! You exhaust the child, you yourself get nervous, you still don’t really enjoy the tour.
In general, in my opinion, children up to 10 years old have nothing to eat there. They will not appreciate it yet, but they will be capricious (really physically hard).

Yes, everything is real, but why do it?
аватар sigur62
Of course real. Really at once at such age to ruin immunity of the native child. After all, you want to go, relax, break away, and here you have such a defenseless creature around your neck. The stupidity and selfishness of such "young mothers" has no boundaries.
аватар TuristkaF85
People, what kind of inadequacy? I probably asked the question here precisely because I do not want to harm my child and I am not aware of the climate of Egypt. It's not for you to talk about the stupidity of young mothers.
My kids are no strangers to long drives, it was all about the heat and how difficult the road is.
Thanks to those who responded appropriately.

In general, there are a lot of families with babies in Egypt! They drive around the hotel with wheelchairs, put cool beds in their rooms. That is, in general, a trip to Egypt with a baby is possible.
It seems to me like this: in our country, a stereotype has traditionally developed: a child is born - that's it. No entertainment for you. Life is over (at least 3 years). Moreover, there are no "foreigners". There is also an “infection”, “no medical care”, “bad food” ... But either those who got into bad hotels think so. Or those who have not been abroad at all (especially grandparents).
But think about it: is there much benefit for a child from sitting at home in a city with poor ecology (like Moscow) or with a lack of vitamins in the Far North (like Salekhard)? Plus, our poor mothers, who are "sick" from sitting in 4 walls with children born not so long ago. Nerves from it or this hand over. Fatigue builds up. Rip at the kids. They ruin relationships with their husbands. So you want to escape somewhere where the sun, the sea, entertainment, you don’t have to cook, eat, wash and clean ... Everything is ready! Well, yes, it is more difficult to travel with a child than without one. But if you compare: to go with a child or stay at home with him, then I would definitely go to a trusted hotel!

And medicine - it is still unknown where they will provide assistance more quickly and better if necessary: in "backward" Egypt or in a domestic medical institution ... Friends told examples of how in Turkey and Egypt in hotels they helped children perfectly. Moreover, our doctors should learn from them! (Not all, but many).
Of course, everyone makes their own decision. But if there is a desire to go to a good hotel - go! Do you want to raise happy children? Be an example of happy parents for them! Children are brought up not by words, but by the personal example of those who are dear to them.
But here on the tour, of course, it is not necessary yet!
аватар sigur62
Bullshit. You can travel with a child. BUT ... But not less than 3-4 months. The fact is that the child's body is rebuilt for such a change in climatic conditions for 10-15 days, that is, acclimatization takes place all the time it is there. And if in an adult, already hardened by such breakdowns, all these processes go unnoticed, then for a child, especially a small one, all this goes on in a shock mode, this is harmful to dangerous consequences.
And finally, a quote: "Plus our poor mothers, who are "sick" from sitting in 4 walls with children born not so long ago. I'm sorry for your kids.
аватар alex45
My children and my granddaughter went to Sharm at 8 months old, my granddaughter felt great there, but they didn’t go on excursions, only on the territory of the hotel.
The second time is Turkey, the granddaughter is 1.5 years old, everything is fine too, again without excursions. It's too early!
аватар alex45
By the way, there were 2 weeks and no problems (3-4 months?! Acclimatization?!)
аватар Krasotas
About the quote "I'm sorry for your children." - I don't have kids. So don't be sorry. )) But I looked at those around me ...
And maybe this is "nonsense", but just the majority of Germans, Poles and Arabs come there with their children. Neither children nor parents look unhappy or sick)))
And ours are much less resolved.
аватар alex45
I don’t know how acclimatization is in Russia, if from the Far East, then maybe. It’s easier with Ukraine and Egypt, the time zone is the same, with Turkey too.
аватар sigur62
The Arabs will not show acclimatization. It is the more dangerous, the greater the temperature difference between the habitat and the resting place. And you also mentioned the Far North ... And if you don’t have your own children, then don’t talk about the fact that mothers are sick of them. Although mothers are also different ...
аватар Krasotas
sigur62, in your words, of course, there is some truth. But, you know, depending on what to compare with ...
In real life, few families are able to go to the sea for 3-4 months. Therefore, when choosing to "stay at home" (all year round) or "go to the sea" (for 1-2 weeks) - the lesser "evil" (if I can say so about the sea) is to go.
Especially for children and adults from the North.
But I, apparently, young, inexperienced and stupid ...
And you are a representative of a generation of wiser and more knowledgeable people. Therefore, perhaps, from now on we will live as you recommend: children from the North NO NO!!! Not on any sea-resorts! The sun, the sea and a large amount of vitamins are terrible for them! "Alien" and dangerous to health! Let's sit here, freeze and "enjoy" health and strong immunity! ))
In general, sigur62, let's live together!!!
аватар sigur62
=))))
аватар TuristkaF85
sigur62, you are absolutely right, our generation of young mothers is so stupid that they do not like their children at all, moreover, we are all sick of our own children.
Once again, thank you all for the info. We just decided whether to book excursions with the tour or not. I concluded that it was not necessary.
аватар alex45
And yet, sigur62. As a rule, even from Ukraine to Egypt
they go in winter, spring or late autumn, so here are my
Egypt were in November, and the granddaughter did not feel any discomfort either in Egypt or during flights, but it was
at first about long excursions to Luxor, and they would also think of Cairo. This is extreme for a child!
аватар sigur62
TuristkaF85, well, it means that your generation is not so stupid, if you decide to abandon the tour, and this pleases.))) Have a good rest!
аватар oresta52
Tu TuristkaF85 Families with small children, if they really want to go on some kind of educational excursion, such as Cairo, Luxor, go in turn. They take turns staying with the child, as it is very easy to catch a cold on buses in Egypt and even hard for an adult. But on such excursions they go not for entertainment, so you can go separately. Good luck to you! It is a pity if you see nothing but the hotel.
аватар Anetka-gan
Yes, a small child needs acclimatization. but the truth is not 3-4 months, but at least 3-4 weeks.
and the fact that our mothers pull their babies to a different climate is their personal decision and the health of their child. there is no argument here. Everyone has their own opinion.
it's hot in Luxor. especially now - it's already summer for them in full. right that they canceled the tour.
and do not equal our and European children.
аватар anbendas
Who did not travel with children - they say it is impossible,
who are constantly with children - do not see any problems.
аватар alex45
Yes, I went to Luxor in a bus, where there were small children, though older than 3-4 years old. So it was a continuous problem for them, for their parents and for everyone around them. And it was January, it was cooler than now. I do not recommend it!
