Summer weather
We always rested in Egypt in the winter, now I would like to go on vacation in the summer, but I can’t choose which country Egypt or Turkey. It is embarrassing that Turkey has humid air, and humidity and heat, I think that I will be hard to endure. Therefore, I ask people who rested in the summer in Egypt. How to relax in the summer with small health losses (burning, sunstroke from the heat)?

Rested last summer in August (middle), in Nuweiba. What can I say, it's hot, but the air is really dry, and at that time it was +35 at home. My recipe: at sea from 7 to 12, and only under an umbrella, cream with protection not lower than 50 (better than pharmacy brands), drink more, swim in a T-shirt. We got out on the tour only on the boat, I didn’t feel much discomfort, I didn’t dare to go on other bus excursions. Would you go again in the summer? Probably yes, but only if circumstances compelled.

Choose Turkey, the Aegean coast, where the humidity and temperature are lower. In Egypt in the summer - suicide.

As for suicide in the summer in Egypt, an exaggeration, in my opinion, we rested twice in August. It all depends on the individual characteristics of the body, skin type, etc. If you normally endure the heat in your homeland, then you won’t suffer in Egypt either. I support the oksana.z recipe, after 16 you can also go to the sea,
We also went on excursions.

And we always have a rest in Turkey in the summer, in July. Yes, it’s hot, but not deadly. We have a rest with a child. And we try to go to Egypt in April or October.

Turkey is very humid in summer. Who cares, but I really don't like it! Even the bathing suit does not dry well... So I don’t even consider Turkey in the summer.
Egypt. There were 1 time in the second half of November - brrrrr .... Ice pools (there are heated ones, but it is crowded, and you can’t find sunbeds nearby). In the sea, the water is normal, but getting in / out is cold because of the wind. And from 16-17 hours the air gets colder. Wrapped up for evening shows. People "packed" children in jackets-hats (this was in Sharm El Sheikh, where it is usually 2-4 degrees warmer than Hurghada).
In short, I didn’t like Egypt in autumn and winter either!
But the next 2 times the vacation fell in June and July.
For the first time, they were very afraid that it would be unbearably hot in Egypt, but they took the risk ... And what do you think? We were very satisfied! So Egypt was chosen for the next trip. By the way, next year we want to go to Hurghada again in July! And these are no longer forced circumstances, but our choice.
And now more about Egypt in the summer. June or July - we did not feel the difference. During the day +36, at night +26. We were under the sun only until 11 am and after 3 pm. It is hot at lunchtime, but you can spend time on food, entertainment (billiards, for example), sleep, or whatever else you wish.

After dinner - swimming again. Then dinner. Live music, shows, disco, beach disco (depending on the hotel). The beauty is that all this is under a scattering of stars, under the beautiful Egyptian sky ... And it's not cold at all! Though in a bathing suit (or without it) you will be. But not stuffy either. There is no feeling that "floats". Easy and comfortable! There is usually a breeze, but not cold and not very strong. It makes the air even more pleasant. And how great it is to go out with a cup of tea or wine and fruit to the balcony...
Yes, when going to dinner, we left any calendar instead of a key so that the room had electricity and air conditioning. But we went to bed with the balcony wide open. We slept, breathing in the aroma of the sea and the sound of the waves! No mosquitoes! (maybe it depends on the hotel, or maybe it depends on the season). Lightly covered with a sheet (no blankets). At the same time, we didn’t sweat, although we usually like to sleep in the cool at home.
Surprisingly, last summer we so "saved" in Africa (in Egypt) from the heat,
who was in Russia! We went for 3 weeks in July, which in the end turned out to be insanely happy. Upon arrival, they suffered terribly. All were wet. Sleep is impossible. Summer is not fun. Egypt was a paradise both in itself and in comparison!

Friends were in July (they also rode quad bikes in the desert))) They were satisfied. I myself was in August, I didn’t notice anything particularly super hot, in Moscow in 2010 it wasn’t very))) I really liked it at the beginning of October.

No overheating happened either with us or with those we met in hotels. From the sun they smeared with cream. Well and without fanaticism concerning sunburn. When choosing a hotel, I recommend paying attention to the presence of air conditioning (preferably quiet, with different modes). If your biorhythm allows, then with the presence of evening / night entertainment (to sleep at lunchtime, and then enjoy life until 2 am).
Of course, for those who have heart problems (after surgery or something similar), I would not recommend the trip. But when choosing Turkey Egypt, it is easier for the body in Egypt. So my friend in Turkey suffered from asthma (she says the climate did not fit), and in Egypt she had a great rest.
Perhaps it is individual. But I shared my personal experience. I wish everyone to find a "place in the sun" for themselves! ))))

Egypt is also closer to me in terms of climate, humidity and heat - I think it will be hard. I think that after all Egypt, especially since we have already been to Hurghada
аватар Krasotas
Yes, again, remember that Sharm is 2-4 degrees warmer than Hurghada. It is for this reason that hotels were chosen in the summer in Hurghada. 2-4 degrees in summer is essential.

I had a rest in Hurghada in June, the climate is dry, it is well tolerated, so you can safely go on vacation, in Turkey, humid air, heat is more difficult to bear.

I rested in Egypt in mid-August and at the end of June, I really liked it, no discomfort for me personally, although I am fair-skinned and burn quickly, but the cream was with a maximum protection of 25, 30 and it was not always possible to lie under a sun lounger and it was excellent, I didn’t burn, and even went on long-distance excursions: Luxor and Cairo, and everything went great. and once again I will go to Egypt in the summer. and yes, in the summer in Turkey it is somewhat more difficult to endure, it was also in the same months in Turkey, and just in Turkey, most of them were either in the hall under the air conditioner, or exclusively in the shade

Turkey, definitely (the climate is very similar to the Crimea), last year was in Egypt in the summer, it's hot, like in a sauna. But you get used to everything. It all depends on the hotel and what you are used to.

Were in Hurghada in 2010, the end of June-beginning of July. In the first 2 days there was no wind at all, after rainy Germany it was a disaster. From the room I wanted to go only to the beach, because it's close. And then every day there was a breeze and it was fine. Excursions were taken only by sea.
But then, in the summer in Russia, when at 8-9 pm the temperature in the shade was over + 50 and there was no wind, day or night, then Egypt seemed like paradise to us.
I liked everything in Egypt, despite any disadvantages, except for one: why did it get dark so early? We usually went to dinner at 8 o'clock in the evening, and when you leave dinner, it is already dusk. And in the end they began to go half an hour earlier, it seems to be the height of summer, but it gets dark so early.
Well, sunstroke, so no one walks there without a hat and a bottle of water in their hands. I sometimes swam in a cap, especially if you watch the fish, you don’t notice the time, while either in a T-shirt or with cream. Ah with cream always and everywhere - this necessarily.

You know, I was in Egypt in March 2010, and then three months later I went again (end of June-beginning of July). I was also very worried that it would be very hot. But the heat was well tolerated. It was somewhere + 36, of course, they didn’t lie under the open sun, only under umbrellas, but they swam for hours, water is everywhere nearby (the sea, pools, bars with a drink) - so it’s hard to overheat. And from 17 hours in general it is very comfortable. My mother was 62 years old with me - I was more worried about her because of the heat - she also really liked it, although before the trip she told me that we would die from the heat there. She even went to the pyramids for the whole day - and nothing!!!

Choose Egypt because of the dry climate, and only a hotel on the first line.
In summer, using the bus to the beach is not very comfortable, especially waiting for it by the beach for lunch.
We liked it in the summer, the only negative we had was a hotel on the 2nd line (1 km to the beach).

in Egypt, even the sultry heat is much easier to bear
due to dry climate
