We were in Coral Beach - from all of the above there was no animation at that time, everything else suits your requirements - the beach is the largest in Hurghada, and home coral is not bad for Hurghada.

We rested in a neighboring hotel with Panorama Bungaows resort Hurhada 4 *, talked with its guests (November 2008). From their words - cockroaches in the rooms and dirty dishes in the main restaurant (I have not personally seen).
I walked around the hotel personally, what can I say: the territory is small, stretched along from the sea. Pros: there is sand on the shore, there are water slides on the territory. Minus: the hotel is built so that in the afternoon, when the sun goes down, the hotel building closes the area from the sun and it is completely in the shade - it can be cool.

There is no pontoon in Hurghada in Coral Beach. The entrance to the sea is very smooth.
There are different bungalows - there are two-room ones with a small kitchenette. And there are just one-room ones with one bed.
I haven’t seen a single hotel without insects yet. But these are not bedbugs. A couple of ants may crawl in.

The rooms are normal, the only thing that we were immediately settled in a one-room apartment. The next day we moved.
The food was good, but then when we were, the food system was half board (no lunches), but we had enough of everything. We bought drinking water in Hurghada.
There was always hot water, but it was practically not in demand - it was very warm, that I wanted not to warm myself under hot water, but to refresh myself with cold water.
I can’t say anything about the pool, I don’t remember, we swam only on the beach.
There was no bar on the beach, there was a toilet.
Now, evaluating the impressions, I will say that for our first time (2006) the hotel was excellent. Even now it is in second place for me (I was in Yegi 7 times).
Don't forget to bring your snorkel and mask and have a great time!

Coral Beach is an excellent choice! I agree with everything that has been said above about the hotel. If you are going for impressions about the sea, the sun, the beach, fish, corals, then you are there! And what difference does it make if you see an ant or two in the room?... It's a different climate, a different world! Our cockroaches and bed bugs look much nastier! Disconnect from the thought of finding the negative in the comfort of the hotel, enjoy your vacation. I hope you will be in the air and water more often than under the covers and at the table :)
